The contract may be renewed or become permanent subject to the performance and needs of the organisation at the time.<\/p>\n<p>Requirements:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A relevant tertiary qualification<\/li>\n<li>Minimum of three years\u2019 successful fundraising experience and good references<\/li>\n<li>Interpersonal, oral and written communication skills<\/li>\n<li>Proficiency in Microsoft Office, (Excel and PowerPoint)<\/li>\n<li>Proven ability to source, nurture and manage fundraising opportunities<\/li>\n<li>Proven experience in writing proposals and corresponding funding reports (examples of prior fundraising proposals \/ appeals will be requested)<\/li>\n<li>Experience in database management and in online fundraising<\/li>\n<li>In possession of a valid manual Code 8 driver\u2019s license (own transport a recommendation)<\/li>\n<li>Respect diversity and understand the challenges facing NGOs<\/li>\n<li>Ability to research and identify prospective funders (trusts, foundations, corporates, etc.)<\/li>\n<li>Take full responsibility for donor liaison and contractual requirements<\/li>\n<li>Anticipate project needs, discern work priorities, and meet deadlines<\/li>\n<li>Interpret and compile budgets and financial reports<\/li>\n<li>Function as a member of a team, yet operate independently and responsibly<\/li>\n<li>Pay attention to detail, be target-driven, and have time-management skills<\/li>\n<li>Display accountability to all stakeholders<\/li>\n<li>Be professional in manner, appearance and work ethic<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>To apply, submit a letter of motivation and an updated CV with three contactable referees,\u00a0marked confidential, to The Donor Development Manager, Cape Mental Health<br \/>\nPrivate Bag X7, Observatory, 7935 \/ 22 Ivy Street, Observatory, 7925 or email:<strong>\u00a0<a href=\"mailto:sandra@cmh.org.za\">sandra@cmh.org.za<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Application Deadline:\u00a0<\/strong>3rd October, 2018<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Cape Mental Health, a nonprofit organisation that offers a comprehensive mental health service in the Western Cape.
