{"id":42926,"date":"2018-09-26T12:36:37","date_gmt":"2018-09-26T10:36:37","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/joblistsouthafrica.com\/?p=42926"},"modified":"2018-09-26T12:36:37","modified_gmt":"2018-09-26T10:36:37","slug":"bursary-opportunity-at-petra-diamonds-2019","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/joblistsouthafrica.com\/bursary-opportunity-at-petra-diamonds-2019.html","title":{"rendered":"Bursary Opportunity At Petra Diamonds 2019"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Petra Diamonds is committed to develop and expand South Africa&#8217;s skills base by offering this bursary programme.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title: Bursary Opportunity At Petra Diamonds 2019<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>To this end, Petra provides an opportunity for South Africans to acquire qualifications and skills to develop a career in the mining industry and make a positive contribution to South Africa.<\/p>\n<p>Petra Diamonds offers bursaries and vocational work experience (internships) in the following fields:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Engineering:<\/strong> Electrical, Mechanical, Mining<\/p>\n<p><strong>Earth Sciences:<\/strong> Geology<\/p>\n<p><strong>REQUIREMENTS<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Applicant must be a citizen of South Africa<\/li>\n<li>Applicants must have a keen interest in the mining industry and a drive to establish a career within this industry<\/li>\n<li>Current matriculants should obtain university exemptions with a minimum of 6 or 7 for maths (not maths literacy) and science<\/li>\n<li>Current university students should demonstrate high academic achievement within their field of study<\/li>\n<li>Applicants should be prepared to relocate to rural areas where the mining operations are located if required<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>HOW TO APPLY<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The applicant must meet the minimum requirements as set out by Petra Diamonds below.<\/p>\n<p>An application form may be downloaded from <a href=\"https:\/\/careerwise.co.za\/wpcontent\/uploads\/2017\/09\/Petra-Diamonds-Bursary-Application-Form-2018.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Career Wise<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Careerwise will receive, scan and shortlist all applications.<\/p>\n<p>The final selection is made by Petra Diamonds.<\/p>\n<p><strong>BURSARY VALUE<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Full tuition fees<\/li>\n<li>Full residence and meals (or equivalent allowance)<\/li>\n<li>Annual cash and travel allowance<\/li>\n<li>Life skills training<\/li>\n<li>Compulsory practical vacation employment during December and January<\/li>\n<li>The bursary is renewable annually<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The application process for 2019 bursaries closes on <strong>30 September 2018.<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Petra Diamonds is committed to develop and expand South Africa&#8217;s skills base by offering this bursary programme.
