{"id":43017,"date":"2018-10-03T09:00:05","date_gmt":"2018-10-03T07:00:05","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/joblistsouthafrica.com\/?p=43017"},"modified":"2018-10-02T13:10:37","modified_gmt":"2018-10-02T11:10:37","slug":"home-from-home-trust-available-job-vacancy","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/joblistsouthafrica.com\/home-from-home-trust-available-job-vacancy.html","title":{"rendered":"Home from Home Trust Available Job Vacancy"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Home from Home Trust, a registered Cluster Foster Care Scheme, established by two Founding Trustees who have a passion and dedication to make a difference in the lives of vulnerable children, provides supported and supervised community based foster care for orphaned, abused and neglected children through a network of small family homes located around the Cape metropole and surrounding areas.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title:\u00a0Programme Manager<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Job Location:\u00a0<\/strong>Cape Town<br \/>\n<strong>Report to:<\/strong> Executive Director<\/p>\n<p>The purpose of the position is to coordinate and implement the Home from Home programme strategies and to manage a multidisciplinary team.<\/p>\n<p>Responsibilities:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Represent Home from Home at various forum meetings and strengthening stakeholder relationships<\/li>\n<li>Plan and agree programme activities and budget compilation<\/li>\n<li>Monitor expenditure and the achievement of objectives<\/li>\n<li>Oversight of all programme activities and quality assurance of the implementation<\/li>\n<li>Ensure consistency of programme frameworks across all metros i.e. record keeping, systems etc<\/li>\n<li>Manage and motivate a team of 6 inclusive of monthly supervision sessions<\/li>\n<li>Oversee the recruitment and selection of Foster Mothers and Relief Assistants<\/li>\n<li>Oversee the child admissions process<\/li>\n<li>Ensure cluster foster care legal and reporting compliance with particular reference to the Department of Social Development<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Requirements:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Be a registered Social Worker with at least eight years\u2019 senior management\u00a0experience<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of the principles and practices of the social work profession<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of the Children&#8217;s Act, norms and standards<\/li>\n<li>Proven ability to manage and motivate staff<\/li>\n<li>A collaborative management approach and a willingness to engage with and learn from others<\/li>\n<li>Proven experience of working in partnership with the Department of Social Development<\/li>\n<li>Ability to develop good working relationships with a range of stakeholders<\/li>\n<li>Previous experience in evaluating impact assessment of monitoring and evaluation systems an added advantage<\/li>\n<li>Ability to carry high workload and work under pressure<\/li>\n<li>Written and spoken English.
