This type of social engagement can uphold biodiversity and ecosystem services for the greater urban area while increasing the ecological linkages between other areas of biodiversity.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title: Finance Coordinator<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Job Location: <\/strong>Cape Town<br \/>\n<strong>Salary:\u00a0<\/strong>Negotiable depending on experience between R13 000 and R17 000<br \/>\n<strong>Start date:\u00a0<\/strong>As soon as possible, ideally no later than 15 November<\/p>\n<p>Responsibilities:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Maintain the integrity (accuracy and completeness) of accounting information in Xero (the cloud-based accounting software we use) through\u00a0daily\u00a0expense and income reconciliations<\/li>\n<li>Conduct financial month-end procedures and paying salaries<\/li>\n<li>Invoice and following up with outstanding payments as well as receiving invoices from 3rd parties and making weekly payments upon prior approval<\/li>\n<li>Draft budgets and cash flow projections based on historical information and planned future projects<\/li>\n<li>Responsible for submissions to SARS, CIPC and other financial governance. This includes bi-monthly VAT submissions, EMP 201 and EMP 501, BEE Verification etc<\/li>\n<li>Weekly reporting to directors on the financial position of the Greenpop Group using an existing template<\/li>\n<li>Assist regarding finances and stock management on Greenpop\u2019s event planning, coordination and logistics<\/li>\n<li>Provide project and event reports as and when needed to inform management of the financial feasibility of a specific project or event<\/li>\n<li>Petty cash management<\/li>\n<li>Income tax and provisional tax coordination and management of processes<\/li>\n<li>Assist with Governance &#8211; registrations for entities, BBBEE certificates, Tax Certificates<\/li>\n<li>Annual financial reporting assistance (we use an accounting firm)<\/li>\n<li>Manage insurance<\/li>\n<li>Liaise with auditors during the annual audit (along with our accounting firm)<\/li>\n<li>The main point of contact with our Financial Consultants, Creative CFO<\/li>\n<li>Ad-hoc research where necessary<\/li>\n<li>In conjunction with Office Manager, managing Greenpop merchandise sales, orders and inventory<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Requirements:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Minimum of two years\u2019 of work experience in financial coordination, accounting services or high-level bookkeeping<\/li>\n<li>Must have worked in the financial department of an organisation and understands work processes etc<\/li>\n<li>Accounting, financial or business qualification<\/li>\n<li>Financial operations management experience<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of excel<\/li>\n<li>Prior experience in an accounting and payroll package (we use Xero)<\/li>\n<li>Goal oriented<\/li>\n<li>Multi-tasking skills<\/li>\n<li>Telephonic skills<\/li>\n<li>Initiative and an ability to create and activate projects without too much direction<\/li>\n<li>Ability to drive and motivate others<\/li>\n<li>Must be a fast worker<\/li>\n<li>Organisational skills<\/li>\n<li>A creative mind and a flexible attitude<\/li>\n<li>Valid South African ID or valid work permit if not South African<\/li>\n<li>Based in (or willing to move to) Cape Town<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of Google Drive (particularly Sheets)<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of or willingness to learn all about Xero (the accounting software we use)<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of or willingness to learn all about Salesforce<\/li>\n<li>Valid drivers\u2019 licence and own transport<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>To apply, complete the online form here\u00a0<strong><a href=\"http:\/\/bit.ly\/GPFCApp\">http:\/\/bit.ly\/GPFCApp<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Note that Greenpop is a small \/ medium social enterprise.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Application Deadline: <\/strong>12th October, 2018<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Greenpop&#8217;s Urban Greening Programme is on a mission to inspire an urban future where nature and ecosystem services are abundant and both accessible to, and co-managed by, an active and&#8230;..<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":1350,"featured_media":0,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"om_disable_all_campaigns":false,"jetpack_post_was_ever_published":false,"_jetpack_newsletter_access":"","_jetpack_newsletter_tier_id":0,"footnotes":"","jetpack_publicize_message":"","jetpack_is_tweetstorm":false,"jetpack_publicize_feature_enabled":true,"jetpack_social_post_already_shared":true,"jetpack_social_options":{"image_generator_settings":{"template":"highway","enabled":false}}},"categories":[57],"tags":[],"jetpack_publicize_connections":[],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v21.5 -
