SECTION27 activities include litigation, research and advocacy to advance and promote the rule of law. The Organisation focus on protecting everyone\u2019s right of access to health care services, basic education and sufficient food, as guaranteed by the Constitution.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title:\u00a0Grant Administrator \/ Finance<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Job Location:\u00a0<\/strong>Braamfontein, Johannesburg.<\/p>\n<p>This is a full-time position<\/p>\n<p>Responsibilities:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Manage \u00a0donor budget and work plan ensuring adherence to donor contract<\/li>\n<li>Donor financial reporting and process management, from invoice processing, payments processing and bank reconciliation<\/li>\n<li>Prepare donor reports and analyse variances and communicate same to budget holders so that corrective measures are taken<\/li>\n<li>Prepare funder reallocation journals as required<\/li>\n<li>Adhoc requests for costing of donor activities<\/li>\n<li>Liaise with budget holders and assist with departmental budgets preparations to ensure alignment with donor budget<\/li>\n<li>Provide information analysing actuals vs. budgets on specific adhoc requests for budget holders (once we start with departmental budgets)<\/li>\n<li>Allocate cost codes to project<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Requirements:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Minimum of two to three years financial administration experience and management accounting<\/li>\n<li>B Com degree with accounting as a major, CTA or CIMA part qualified<\/li>\n<li>Project accounting knowledge<\/li>\n<li>Experience and knowledge of working with donor funds will be an advantage<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge and Skills<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of financial software packages i.e. pastel accounting and payroll<\/li>\n<li>Time management and analytical skills<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of the rules and regulations that govern nonprofit organisations<\/li>\n<li>Communication and interpersonal skills<\/li>\n<li>Drivers\u2019 license essential<\/li>\n<li>Personal attributes<\/li>\n<li>Ability to work under extreme pressure<\/li>\n<li>Attention to detail<\/li>\n<li>Flair for figures<\/li>\n<li>Deadline driven<\/li>\n<li>Ability to work in a team<\/li>\n<li>Self-motivated, uses initiative and able to work without supervision<\/li>\n<li>Organised and accurate<\/li>\n<li>Languages, fluency in English, spoken and written<\/li>\n<li>Ability and willingness to travel and work outside of office hours to meet deadline<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>To apply, submit a CV accompanied by a motivation as to why you are interested in and suitable for the position to\u00a0<strong><a href=\"mailto:applications@section27.org.za\">applications@section27.org.za<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Note: There is a strong internal candidate under consideration for this position.<\/p>\n<p>Late applications will not be considered and only shortlisted candidates will be contacted for interviews.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Application Deadline:\u00a0<\/strong>31st\u00a0 October, 2018<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>SECTION27 is a high-profile nonprofit organisation that uses public interest law and advocacy to protect, promote and advance human rights and social justice.
