{"id":43351,"date":"2018-10-29T11:04:43","date_gmt":"2018-10-29T09:04:43","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/joblistsouthafrica.com\/?p=43351"},"modified":"2018-10-29T11:04:43","modified_gmt":"2018-10-29T09:04:43","slug":"hospice-palliative-care-association-ongoing-recruitment","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/joblistsouthafrica.com\/hospice-palliative-care-association-ongoing-recruitment.html","title":{"rendered":"Hospice Palliative Care Association Ongoing Recruitment"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Hospice Palliative Care Association of South Africa (HPCA) is a national organisation operating in all nine provinces in South Africa with 134 members and affiliated hospices countrywide.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title: Operations Manager<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Job Location:\u00a0<\/strong>Western Cape<\/p>\n<p>The purpose of the Operations Manager is to\u00a0take overall responsibility for the strategic implementation, management coordination and integration of HPCA operational activities.<\/p>\n<p>Responsibilities:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Oversee the USAID project and have working knowledge of USAID regulations<\/li>\n<li>Provide strategic support to project management teams and project implementation staff activities in liaison with MANCO<\/li>\n<li>Provide leadership to develop and execute strategic implementation of projects<\/li>\n<li>Coordinate HPCA project and implementation plans<\/li>\n<li>Liaise with HPCA CEO and HPCA MANCO, funders to develop annual HPCA workplan in line with strategic plan ensuring activities are carried out to high professional standards<\/li>\n<li>Recruit staff members in line with staffing plan and labour legislation with guidance from HR Manager<\/li>\n<li>Develop and manage hospice self-assessment process;<\/li>\n<li>Manage operations staff liaison with hospice managers, regional directors and HPCA staff to provide mentorship to member organisations<\/li>\n<li>Regular communication with hospices and sub-grantees<\/li>\n<li>Build and maintain positive relationships with hospices and sub-grantees<\/li>\n<li>Ensure accountability of HPCA towards donors<\/li>\n<li>Coordinate narrative and financial reporting component to the various donors and stake holders<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Requirements:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Master\u2019s in Business Management<\/li>\n<li>Post graduate qualification in Project Management<\/li>\n<li>Eight years\u2019 project management experience<\/li>\n<li>Five years\u2019 PEPFAR project compliance and management<\/li>\n<li>Five to 10 years\u2019 NGO and hospice experience<\/li>\n<li>Technical \/ Professional Knowledge, skills and expertise<\/li>\n<li>Business acumen<\/li>\n<li>Organisation and planning skills<\/li>\n<li>Strategic thinking<\/li>\n<li>Change leadership<\/li>\n<li>Building and leading high-performance team<\/li>\n<li>Customer centric focus<\/li>\n<li>Analytical thinking<\/li>\n<li>Building collaborative partnerships<\/li>\n<li>Compassion<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>To apply, submit a detailed CV, covering letter and names of three contactable references including email contact to\u00a0<a href=\"mailto:hr@hpca.co.za\"><strong>hr@hpca.co.za<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Preference will be given to suitably qualified candidates from the designated groups in line with the provisions of the Employment Equity Act, No. 55 of 1998 (and any amendments thereto), the relevant internal recruitment policy as well as the organisation\u2019s employment equity plan.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Application Deadline:\u00a0<\/strong>31st October, 2018<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Hospice Palliative Care Association of South Africa (HPCA) is a national organisation operating in all nine provinces in South Africa with 134 members and affiliated hospices countrywide.
