This type of social engagement can uphold biodiversity and ecosystem services for the greater urban area while increasing the ecological linkages between other areas of biodiversity.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title:\u00a0Events and Operation Coordinator<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Job Location:\u00a0<\/strong>Cape Town<br \/>\n<strong>Salary:<\/strong>\u00a0Negotiable depending on experience between R14 000 and R17 500<br \/>\n<strong>Start date:<\/strong> As soon as possible, ideally no later than 15 November 2018 but we can be flexible<\/p>\n<p>Responsibilities:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Administration, coordination and communication prior to events (with participants, sponsors, partners, vendors, artists etc.)<\/li>\n<li>Direct marketing (outreach to groups, travel centres, universities, schools etc. to promote our events and excursions)<\/li>\n<li>Event\/excursion development and proposal writing (developing itineraries, budgets, brochures)<\/li>\n<li>Report after events (sales and sustainability reports, suggestions for future improvement etc.) and monthly on targets, achievements and strategies<\/li>\n<li>Event sponsorship support to the CEO (assisting with sponsorship, relationships etc)<\/li>\n<li>Manage interns and assisting with managing event freelancers<\/li>\n<li>Assist with business development for Greenpop experiences<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Requirements:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A team player with a collaborative work approach<\/li>\n<li>Proactive in seeking solutions<\/li>\n<li>Work well and calmly under pressure<\/li>\n<li>Take responsibility naturally<\/li>\n<li>A writer<\/li>\n<li>Not afraid to ask for help and ask questions<\/li>\n<li>Not afraid to reach out and find new clients<\/li>\n<li>Confident and able to approach people and speak to people naturally<\/li>\n<li>Target driven &#8211; committed to getting the job done<\/li>\n<li>Report savvy \u2013 creates reports regularly and efficiently<\/li>\n<li>Passionate about greening and sustainable living<\/li>\n<li>Lively and enthusiastic<\/li>\n<li>Organised and strategic<\/li>\n<li>Friendly and approachable<\/li>\n<li>Creative and forward thinking<\/li>\n<li>Adaptable to a fast moving and changing environment as well as different people, companies and ways of working<\/li>\n<li>Experience in event or project management<\/li>\n<li>Organised<\/li>\n<li>Energetic<\/li>\n<li>Thrives under pressure<\/li>\n<li>Willing to travel (including internationally) for events, can be up to 5 weeks at a time<\/li>\n<li>Goal oriented<\/li>\n<li>Great at multi-tasking<\/li>\n<li>Not afraid to pick up the phone<\/li>\n<li>Initiative and an ability to create and activate projects without too much direction<\/li>\n<li>Ability to drive and motivate others<\/li>\n<li>Fast worker \u2013 we work on a lot of different things at the same time at Greenpop and our pace is fast!<\/li>\n<li>A creative mind and a flexible attitude<\/li>\n<li>Valid South African ID or valid work permit if not South African<\/li>\n<li>Based in (or willing to move to) Cape Town<\/li>\n<li>Valid driver&#8217;s license<\/li>\n<li>Ability to juggle various tasks at the same time confidently and be adaptable to sudden changes or shocks<\/li>\n<li>Ability to work with different teams, good at communicating with other departments<\/li>\n<li>Ability to take on responsibility and work alone when needed, good at reporting<\/li>\n<li>Ability to stay very focused on the task at hand in a dynamic and energetic environment, excited about working for a growing environmental enterprise and keen on the sustainability space<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>To apply, complete the online form here\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/bit.ly\/GPHOE18\">http:\/\/bit.ly\/GPHOE18<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Please note that Greenpop is a small\/medium social enterprise.
