The Character Company goal is to help to change South Africa&#8217;s current culture of violence and abuse through an initiative for boys helping them to grow into good men by instilling honourable values.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title:\u00a0Professional Fundraiser and Proposal Writer<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Job Location:<\/strong>\u00a0Johannesburg<br \/>\n<strong>Start date:<\/strong> \u00a0As soon as possible<br \/>\n<strong>Salary:<\/strong>\u00a0R 20 000<\/p>\n<p><strong>Responsibilities:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Research and identify potential funders and funding opportunities<\/li>\n<li>Cultivate and develop relationships with funders<\/li>\n<li>Assist with proposal writing and submission<\/li>\n<li>Raise funds as per the targets agreed upon.<\/li>\n<li>Liaise with funders and assist with project reporting.<\/li>\n<li>Attend meetings with funders as required.<\/li>\n<li>Update funding database.<\/li>\n<li>Maintain calendar of application and reporting deadlines<\/li>\n<li>Assist with fundraising events as necessary<\/li>\n<li>Manage fundraising campaigns as necessary<\/li>\n<li>Monitor funding trends, attend webinars, etc.<\/li>\n<li>Any other reasonable tasks that may be required from time to time<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Requirements:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Minimum of three years experience in the fundraising field<\/li>\n<li>Verbal and writing skills in English<\/li>\n<li>Productive and efficient in meeting deadlines<\/li>\n<li>Flexibility in working hours<\/li>\n<li>Commitment to the goals and vision of the organisation<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>To apply, submit a CV, motivation letter and the contact details of two referees to\u00a0<strong><a href=\"mailto:loraine.ch@racter.co.za\">loraine.ch@racter.co.za<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>by no later than 15 November 2018<\/p>\n<p><strong>Application Deadline:<\/strong>\u00a015th November, 2018<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Character Company is a Christian based NGO in Noordheuwel, Krugersdorp.
