Your excellent customer service skills, and ability to interact professionally and enthusiastically secures you this\u00a0 position.\u00a0If you&#8217;re keen on joining a rapidly expanding and fast paced organisation, then consider joining Penny Appeal.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title:\u00a0Donor Relations Officer<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Job Location:\u00a0<\/strong>Durban<\/p>\n<p><strong>Objective of Role:\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>To respond professionally to the needs of our donors and supporters by providing an efficient, effective and excellent customer service.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Summary of Duties<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Handling customer enquiries both by telephone and email<\/li>\n<li>Ensuring all donations are acknowledged<\/li>\n<li>Provide donors and supporters with receipts and information relating to specific campaigns<\/li>\n<li>Maintaining our Support Centre database by entering or updating information<\/li>\n<li>Relationship building and maintenance<\/li>\n<li>Supporting and responding to Live Appeals<\/li>\n<li>Working with other departments to deliver an effective and efficient response to enquiries<\/li>\n<li>Maintain internal CRM systems, and ensure maximum usage of the internal system<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Essential Criteria<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills<\/li>\n<li>Acute attention to detail<\/li>\n<li>Able to work to deadlines with effective time management and multi-tasking skills<\/li>\n<li>Excellent interpersonal skills \u2013 phone, email and face-to-face<\/li>\n<li>Proactive, organised and willing to take on initiative and responsibility<\/li>\n<li>Displays high energy and able to motivate self, with a positive, can-do and resilient attitude.<\/li>\n<li>Self-motivated with an ability to work independently as well as part of a team<\/li>\n<li>Results-orientated with a strong sense of pace and urgency to ensure work is completed in the expected timelines at high levels of quality<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Technical Skills Requirements<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Excellent knowledge of all Microsoft Office applications, and Salesforce (preferred)<\/li>\n<li>Experience of working within a Call Centre or customer service industry<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Team-work makes the dream work and Penny Appeal are looking for passionate individuals who seek a dynamic and rewarding career and are able to work in demanding fast-paced environment.
