The Leadership Academy aims to support young people to look beyond these circumstances and seize hold of their own capacity to make a positive difference in their own and in their schools and communities.<\/p>\n<p>The purpose of the Faculty is to lead a process of learning for educators and learners, the role requires facilitation of concepts and principles as per the Columba Programme elicitation model using both verbal and non-verbal techniques that are appropriate for the development of participants. The bulk of the work takes place in the context of a six day Residential Academy.<\/p>\n<p>Responsibilities:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Communicate with Principals, Educators and Learners<\/li>\n<li>Stakeholder engagement with the Department of Education, Investors, Government Representatives<\/li>\n<li>Develop and deliver presentations and speeches at a senior level<\/li>\n<li>Facilitate Leadership Academy Programme<\/li>\n<li>Report Writing<\/li>\n<li>Data Capturing<\/li>\n<li>Prepare participants for Residential Academy<\/li>\n<li>Collect and prepare documentation for Residential Academy<\/li>\n<li>Plan, facilitate and transcribe exit interviews with learner participants<\/li>\n<li>Participate in Residential Academy planning two weeks before each Residential Academy<\/li>\n<li>Implement Monitoring and Evaluation plan with support from Monitoring and Evaluation Team<\/li>\n<li>Contribute to provincial reports for investors identifying and sharing positive stories and taking photographs of activities<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Requirements:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Must be in possession of a Bachelor of Psychology or a Social Sciences, Youth or Community Development degree<\/li>\n<li>Minimum of three to five years\u2019 experience in youth development<\/li>\n<li>Driver\u2019s licence essential<\/li>\n<li>Willingness to travel extensively in South Africa<\/li>\n<li>Willingness to be away from home for two weeks per month<\/li>\n<li>Experience working for an NGO or NPO will be an added advantage<\/li>\n<li>Must be proficient in Microsoft Word<\/li>\n<li>Report writing skills essential<\/li>\n<li>Data capturing skills essential<\/li>\n<li>Proficiency in written and verbal English and IsiXhosa<\/li>\n<li>Interpersonal skills, have the ability to take initiative and be a team player<\/li>\n<li>Adaptability and ability to work in a fluid environment<\/li>\n<li>Assertiveness<\/li>\n<li>Planning skills<\/li>\n<li>Administratively strong<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>To apply, submit your CV applications to<strong>\u00a0<a href=\"mailto:careers@columba.org.za\">careers@columba.org.za<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Regret only suitable candidates will be contacted.<\/p>\n<p>Should you not be contacted within two weeks of the closing date, consider the position filled.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Application Deadline:\u00a0<\/strong>16th November 2018<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Columba Leadership is an NGO that activates youth enterprise and employment by helping young people transcend their personal circumstances and offers meaningful social impact to all investors.
