Our programme is designed to offer individual attention to all our clients (survivors of prostitution), taking into consideration the varying levels of trauma and educational backgrounds. Vheneka takes pride in conducting services centered on survivor empowerment.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title: Social Worker<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Job Location:\u00a0<\/strong>Mowbray, Cape Town<\/p>\n<p>Responsibilities:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Do assessments, complete referral forms, intake forms, care plans, follow up forms and all relevant documentation in an accurate and detailed manner<\/li>\n<li>Ensure that all files are securely stored and maintain confidentiality<\/li>\n<li>Arrange appropriate care, resources or benefits to survivors<\/li>\n<li>Identify cases and do referral services internally within the centre and externally to other specialised sources<\/li>\n<li>Provide accurate and timely information about services available to survivors including health, psycho-social services, livelihood activities, and others<\/li>\n<li>Refer and accompany (upon survivors\u2019 request) survivors to healthcare, police, and legal services<\/li>\n<li>Provide individual and group counselling to women receiving services from the centre<\/li>\n<li>Establish\u00a0a co-operative working relationship with other organisations in the same field<\/li>\n<li>Ensure\u00a0administrative processes are compliant with legislation and policy<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Requirements:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Registered with the SACSSP<\/li>\n<li>Minimum of three to five years counselling experience<\/li>\n<li>Working with survivors of prostitution and\/or gender-based violence would be an advantage<\/li>\n<li>Fluency in at least two of the official languages of the Western Cape<\/li>\n<li>Report writing skills<\/li>\n<li>Computer Literacy: Microsoft Office (PowerPoint presentation skills)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>To apply, submit your CV together with a motivating letter and three references\u00a0to\u00a0<a href=\"mailto:info@vheneka.org\"><strong>info@vheneka.org<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Only candidates from the Western Cape will be considered.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Application Deadline:\u00a0<\/strong>25th November, 2018<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Vheneka\u00a0seeks to help women wanting to\u00a0escape from prostitution by offering them a transitional shelter with\u00a0psychosocial support and economic empowerment skills.
