The ability to undertake grant management, business plan development and applications will also be required.<\/p>\n<p>Responsibilities:<\/p>\n<p>Personal leadership<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Contribute to HFH South Africa\u2019s Resource Development team in implementing fundraising and partnership resource development activities<\/li>\n<li>Monitor, analyse and document progress toward targets<\/li>\n<li>Implement individual giving, corporates, trusts and foundations work plans<\/li>\n<li>Monitor donor policies, in alignment with the International Development Collaboration Handbook<\/li>\n<li>Undertake the implementation of fundraising tools, programme funding requirement documents, partner updates, donor reports for HFHSA donors<\/li>\n<li>Undertake monthly donor research and mapping of funding opportunities, together with the registration for funding calls with various donors<\/li>\n<li>Re-engage existing donors and recruit new donors in the individual, corporate and trusts space<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Stakeholder relations management<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Develop and maintain relations with local donors; foster a comprehensive, consistent<\/li>\n<li>Keep abreast with interests of individual, corporate, trusts, and foundation donors,<\/li>\n<li>Initiate contacts and develop concepts that would interest donors in supporting HFH South Africa\u2019s work.<\/li>\n<li>Provide communications with ongoing feedback and points and stories of interest for public release<\/li>\n<li>Provide weekly donor engagement reports to the Resource Development and Communications Manager<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Grant Writing and Grant Management<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Identify and respond to grant and funding opportunities<\/li>\n<li>Maintain a grant and funding tracking matrix as well as a grants database<\/li>\n<li>Identify, pursue and obtain ongoing and new sources of community support from corporates, trusts and foundations, and individuals<\/li>\n<li>Undertake 90-day follow up calendar for submitted proposals<\/li>\n<li>Undertake grant writing research, activities and solicitation of grants and ensure timely and complete submissions<\/li>\n<li>Coordinate with finance and programme staff to assess donor needs for grant requests and develop grant and funding budgets<\/li>\n<li>Adhere to the grant calendar, reporting and deliverables<\/li>\n<li>Monitor and follow up on the status of approaches to donors and pledges, to improve donor servicing and prepare forecasts of contributions, analyses and trends<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Build Events Marketing<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Participate in the selling of all Build Events<\/li>\n<li>Follow up after the build events ensure that the donors have received their thank you letters and Section 18 A certificates<\/li>\n<li>Participate in ceremonies for handover of houses and continued links between donors and homeowners with the RDC team<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Requirements:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>University degree in public relations, communications, business administration, international development, marketing or related domain<\/li>\n<li>A Master\u2019s degree is an advantage<\/li>\n<li>Professional certification or other specific training in resource mobilization<\/li>\n<li>Minimum of 10 years\u2019 experience in fundraising in the income streams of individual giving, corporates, trusts and foundations in a NGO or Not-For-Profit, INGO or development agency<\/li>\n<li>Experience of working with the donor industry and corporate sector<\/li>\n<li>Experience preparing and writing grant proposals and reporting on same<\/li>\n<li>Creativity and success in resource mobilization<\/li>\n<li>Strategic acumen, with a good understanding of the broader developmental context to ensure the development of appropriate fundraising interventions<\/li>\n<li>Ability to plan, prioritise and manage multiple projects (large and small) combined with time management skills<\/li>\n<li>Ability to analyse situations with problem solving and decision-making skills<\/li>\n<li>Communication skills in English \u2013 written and verbal<\/li>\n<li>Ability to communicate effectively across diverse groups, at different levels, and in different cultural settings.<\/li>\n<li>Attentiveness to detail and ability to work well under pressure<\/li>\n<li>Research, information management and networking skills<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of fundraising approaches<\/li>\n<li>Database usage and management<\/li>\n<li>Understanding of social media and digital methods of reaching varied stakeholder groups and the general public<\/li>\n<li>Understanding of donor requirements for relationship building and grant reporting<\/li>\n<li>Alignment with and a commitment to model and articulate Habitat\u2019s Core Values<\/li>\n<li>Willing to uphold Christian principles of HFH South Africa<\/li>\n<li>Commitment to Habitat International vision, mission, purposes, goals, and mission focus, including leading Habitat\u2019s \u2018God at the Centre\u2019 process<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>To apply, submit CV with contactable references as a PDF and covering letter describing why you are the best candidate for the position and why you want this opportunity to\u00a0<a href=\"mailto:recruitment@habitat.org.za\"><strong>recruitment@habitat.org.za<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Only those candidates selected for interviews will be contacted.<\/p>\n<p>Consider your application unsuccessful if you don\u2019t hear from us within a month after the closing date.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Application Deadline:\u00a0<\/strong>23rd November, 2018<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Habitat for Humanity South Africa is a nonprofit organisation breaking the cycle of poverty through participatory development, advocacy and awareness.
