possible<\/p>\n<p>Objective: The job holder represents CBM in the region, develops and implements CBM&#8217;s Regional Disability and Development Strategy, establishes, maintains and runs the Regional Office.<\/p>\n<p>Reporting to the Vice President Programme Development, the Regional Director needs to accomplish the following tasks:<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Programme Development<\/li>\n<li>Collect and analyse regional information relevant for CBM work<\/li>\n<li>Elaborate the Regional Strategy including country and CBM mandate concepts<\/li>\n<li>Develop concepts for partner development (regional, country and partner based)<\/li>\n<li>Nominate and coordinate regional Teams of Competence (ToC) according to the needs and requirements of the Regional Strategy, specified through Terms of Reference (ToR)<\/li>\n<li>Elaborate three to five-year regional budgets with partners, through ToCs<\/li>\n<li>Monitor the implementation of partners activities<\/li>\n<li>Evaluate performance of partners&#8217; activities<\/li>\n<li>Develop strategies to support national stakeholders in advocacy of disability issues that further the aims of the Regional Strategy<\/li>\n<li>Human Resources<\/li>\n<li>Develop a regional human resource inventory<\/li>\n<li>Implement agreed strategies to develop human resources for CBM&#8217;s work in the region<\/li>\n<li>Assess and appraise co-workers assigned to the region<\/li>\n<li>Alliance Building<\/li>\n<li>Liaise with government and supranational bodies in the region<\/li>\n<li>Liaise with international and local NGOs<\/li>\n<li>Promote networking and alliance building with stakeholders in the region<\/li>\n<li>Support the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) in the identification of international\/global alliances<\/li>\n<li>Public Relations\u00a0and Fundraising<\/li>\n<li>Support CBM Member Associations (MAs) with appropriate proposals<\/li>\n<li>Support CBM MAs with appropriate reporting<\/li>\n<li>Develop strategies and concepts promoting visibility of CBM in the region<\/li>\n<li>Support CBM MAs with large donor care<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Personality Profile<\/p>\n<p>Skills<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Good leadership skills<\/li>\n<li>Strategic thinker<\/li>\n<li>Good manager of people and team builder<\/li>\n<li>Good\u00a0financial management\u00a0skills<\/li>\n<li>Good written and verbal communication skills<\/li>\n<li>Able to talk with decision makers and be diplomatic<\/li>\n<li>Able to chair and lead meetings<\/li>\n<li>Fluent in English<\/li>\n<li>Fluency in either German or Portuguese are an advantage\n<p>Personal Attributes<\/li>\n<li>Good inter-personal skills<\/li>\n<li>Team player<\/li>\n<li>Able to work with a range of individuals from a variety of cultures, professions and personal backgrounds<\/li>\n<li>Able to lead in modelling and promoting CBM&#8217;s ethos and core values<\/li>\n<li>Recognises own limitations<\/li>\n<li>Able to motivate people<\/li>\n<li>Open to new ideas<\/li>\n<li>Determination to deliver results in a definite time scale<\/li>\n<li>Able and willing to travel about 30% of working days Professional Experience<\/li>\n<li>Three years experience in senior management &#8211; corporate and\/or NGO<\/li>\n<li>Three years experience of living and working in the developing world<\/li>\n<li>Experience in international programme development and implementation<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of medical and\/ or rehabilitation\/education fields as to CBM
