As a community-based, civil society organisation, whose core counselling and victim empowerment services are provided by volunteers, LifeLine involves the community at large and its resources to achieve its objectives.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title:\u00a0<\/strong><strong>Project Coordinator\/Social Worker<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Job Location:<\/strong>\u00a0Benoni<br \/>\n<strong>Start date:<\/strong> As soon as possible<br \/>\n<strong>Duration:<\/strong> Fixed-term contract \u2013 To end on 14th March 2019.<\/p>\n<p>The purpose of the position is to ensure that both mentally-challenged adults, child victims and witnesses of sexual abuse and other violent crimes receive optimal Intermediary and follow-up services from the LifeLine team, as well as knowledge of child protection, gender-based violence and HIV &amp; AIDS-related issues and their impact amongst individuals, families and communities.<\/p>\n<p>Responsibilities:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Coordinate and monitor the LifeLine services and team<\/li>\n<li>Provide psychosocial support<\/li>\n<li>Plan, organise, mobilise for and evaluate community development activities<\/li>\n<li>Networking<\/li>\n<li>Advocacy and linking with diverse stakeholders<\/li>\n<li>General administration<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Requirements:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Four-Year Bachelors or Honours Degree in Social Work<\/li>\n<li>Registration with the SACSSP<\/li>\n<li>Broad experience within the NGO sector<\/li>\n<li>Experience in the management of both staff and volunteer teams<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of VEP and child protection practices and the relevant legislation<\/li>\n<li>Valid Code 8 (EB) driver\u2019s license<\/li>\n<li>Computer Literacy: spreadsheets, reporting, email and internet<\/li>\n<li>Written and oral communication<\/li>\n<li>Presentation and interpersonal skills<\/li>\n<li>Ability to manage multiple projects<\/li>\n<li>Priorities and deadlines over long periods<\/li>\n<li>Organisational skills<\/li>\n<li>Attention to detail<\/li>\n<li>Flexible approach to working hours and duties<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>To apply, submit a CV, contact details of three referees and motivation letter to\u00a0<strong><a href=\"mailto:debbie.lifeline@gmail.com\">debbie.lifeline@gmail.com<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Further correspondence will only be entered into with candidates under consideration for the position.<\/p>\n<p>Should you not receive a response within 14 days of the closing date, consider your application as unsuccessful.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Application Deadline:\u00a0<\/strong>28th November, 2018<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>LifeLine Ekurhuleni is a leading provider of personal skills development and the promotion of emotional wellness for the healing and transformation of individuals and communities in Ekurhuleni.
