Hlanganisa believes in partnering communities for sustainable change. HIDSA seeks to recruit dynamic individuals for the following positions based at their office in Johannesburg.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Position: Programme Officer<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Job Location:\u00a0<\/strong>Johannesburg<\/p>\n<p>This position will report to the Programme Manager and will be remunerated up to R400 000 per annum depending on experience.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Coordination and implementation of HIDSA programmes<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Provide strategic guidance and support to other programme staff members<\/li>\n<li>Provide advice and strategic support to grantees through selected field visits and through interactions at HIDSA convenings, forums and platforms<\/li>\n<li>Updating and sharing with staff recent developments and knowledge related to the sector<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Monitoring and reporting.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Provide occasional reports on context and strategic issues<\/li>\n<li>Oversee and finalise prepared reports<\/li>\n<li>Provide support in narrative reports for donors<\/li>\n<li>Support compilation of the organisation\u2019s narrative section of the annual Report<\/li>\n<li>Narrative reports on visits, training and mentoring both internally and with external partners<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Knowledge management and knowledge sharing<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Provide brief updates on the development of VAW issues in South Africa<\/li>\n<li>Provide assistance and guidance in any JGF work that involved data collection, compiling lessons learned, and establishing indicators to support knowledge sharing<\/li>\n<li>Assist in the development of concept notes, project documents and policy frameworks, fundraising proposals\/initiatives and research area and gender issues for best practices as directed by supervisor<\/li>\n<li>Support other JGF staff to participate in VAW-related community of practice in the region<\/li>\n<li>Writes and provides support to the team. writing stories related to programme and project developments as they relate to Violence Against Women issues<\/li>\n<li>Support the Executive Director and Programme Manager in proposal writing<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Networking and Sector Coordination<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Liaise with key stakeholders including government departments, development partners and other civil society organsiations towards the advancement of the VAW agenda<\/li>\n<li>Profesisonally and competently represent Hlanganisa at selected Violence Against Women events involving government<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Other key competencies<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Think strategically about the civil society sector and its role in South Africa and the region<\/li>\n<li>Undertake programme planning and coordination<\/li>\n<li>Deliver results-based planning and reporting<\/li>\n<li>Identify and communicates relevant information for a variety of audiences for advocating the VAW messages<\/li>\n<li>Formulate written information clearly and persuasively<\/li>\n<li>Maintain\u00a0an established network of contacts for general information sharing and to remain up-to-date<\/li>\n<li>Generate new ideas and approaches, research good practice and propose new and more effective ways of doing things<\/li>\n<li>Establish effective partner relationships<\/li>\n<li>Proactive and problem solver<\/li>\n<li>Result-oriented attitude<\/li>\n<li>Share\u00a0information openly with co-workers and partners while using discretion to protect confidence<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Position: Grant Compliance Officer<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Job Location:\u00a0<\/strong>Johannesburg<\/p>\n<p>This position will have a dual reporting to the Programme Manager and Finance and Administration Manager and will be remunerated up to R300 000 per annum dependent on experience.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Subgrantee Support<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Manage the contracting of new grantees<\/li>\n<li>Perform on site due diligence assessments with potential grantees<\/li>\n<li>Prepare clean, concise and accurate grant funding records and reports<\/li>\n<li>Assist sub grantees and programme team with requirements relating to grant expenditures including preparing sub grantee tranche requests<\/li>\n<li>Provide record keeping training and support to subgrantees<\/li>\n<li>Maintain grant and sub grantee database<\/li>\n<li>Provide on-going Monitoring and evaluation of programme implementation by grantees<\/li>\n<li>Identifying and coordinate capacity needs amongst grantees<\/li>\n<li>Coordinate development on training manuals<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Office and Administration support<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Maintain donor register of donor requirements and deadlines<\/li>\n<li>Assist with coordination of documents required for grant proposals\\applications<\/li>\n<li>Liaises with the finance department to monitor program activities relative to programme budget<\/li>\n<li>Ensure consistency with grant terms and conditions, timelines, budgets, and deliverables<\/li>\n<li>Assist in reviewing financial reports and programmatic narratives.<\/li>\n<li>Assist finance team in preparation of grantee files for annual statutory audit<\/li>\n<li>Periodically review narrative and finance reporting template<\/li>\n<li>Support programme and finance manager in preparing donor reports<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Education\u00a0and\u00a0Experience<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The equivalent to a Bachelor&#8217;s Degree in Business Administration or a related field is desirable<\/li>\n<li>Any combination of training and experience which would likely provide the required knowledge and abilities is qualifying will be considered<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Other Key Competencies<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Background in grantmaking<\/li>\n<li>Sound understand of budgets and expenditure tracking<\/li>\n<li>Analyze, interpret and apply policies, rules and regulations.<\/li>\n<li>Gather, organize, analyze, and present a variety of data and information<\/li>\n<li>Interpret, explain and apply a variety of Grant policies, rules and regulations<\/li>\n<li>Work with considerable initiative and independence while exercising good judgment in recognizing scope of authority<\/li>\n<li>Experience in the usage of computers and office software packages<\/li>\n<li>Good people skills<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Other requirements<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Although applications are open, priority will be given to women and
