{"id":43772,"date":"2018-11-27T12:45:23","date_gmt":"2018-11-27T10:45:23","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/joblistsouthafrica.com\/?p=43772"},"modified":"2018-11-27T12:45:23","modified_gmt":"2018-11-27T10:45:23","slug":"starfish-greathearts-foundation-new-job-opportunity","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/joblistsouthafrica.com\/starfish-greathearts-foundation-new-job-opportunity.html","title":{"rendered":"Starfish Greathearts Foundation New Job Opportunity"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Starfish Greathearts Foundation (SGF(SA)) supports girls and boys, especially those orphaned or vulnerable, by working in partnership with community based organisations (CBOs) \u2013 strengthening them, funding them and working towards their increased ability to deliver research-informed, evidence-based OVC&amp;A interventions.<\/p>\n<p>Our Nurturing Care Programme focuses on assisting CBOs to deliver effective and sustainable Health &amp; Nutrition-Responsive Caregiving, Safety and Security and Stimulation and Learning programmes \u2013 working at the CBO, in the community, in the life-space of the child, and with families directly.<\/p>\n<p>We are therefore looking for a uniquely skilled individual who is passionate about making a measurable difference in lives of girls and boys in South Africa \u2013 an influencer, a team-builder and a team-player.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title: Fundraiser<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Permanent position:<\/strong> Salary (240K- 300K)<br \/>\n<strong>Reporting to:<\/strong> the CEO<br \/>\n<strong>Start date:<\/strong> January 2019<\/p>\n<p><strong>Responsibilities:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Develop corporate &amp; private donor fundraising strategies<\/li>\n<li>Develop and design ideas around new events for increased awareness and support for Starfish<\/li>\n<li>Create and update donor databases and media lists<\/li>\n<li>Design and produce materials such as posters, websites, or newsletters to promote, market, or advertise fundraising events<\/li>\n<li>Develop direct mail and web-based fundraising activities, contribute to digital marketing \/ social media development &amp; content<\/li>\n<li>Develop proposals to submit to grant providing or other funding organisations<\/li>\n<li>Prepare and monitor fundraising budgets<\/li>\n<li>Write reports and prepare presentations to communicate fundraising activities and results thereof<\/li>\n<li>Draft and send letters of thanks to donors<\/li>\n<li>Assist the CEO in preparing periodic updates\/press releases to donors and other supporters to assure them that donated funds are being efficiently utilised.<\/li>\n<li>60% focus on business development or fundraising and 40% PR, Campaigns and Events<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Requirements:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A proven track-record in fundraising<\/li>\n<li>Relevant training, with a minimum of 5 years\u2019 experience and a track record in events planning, working in partnership with various stakeholders.<\/li>\n<li>Relevant professional qualifications or memberships e.g. marketing, journalism, fundraising, SAFI<\/li>\n<li>Excellent writing skills, with particular reference to proposal and report writing<\/li>\n<li>Excellent interpersonal, presentation and networking skills<\/li>\n<li>Computer literacy in Microsoft Office suite, SalesForce<\/li>\n<li>Passionate, enthusiastic, hard-working, detailed and results oriented<\/li>\n<li>Valid SA drivers licence and own car<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>To apply, submit a CV to\u00a0<strong><a href=\"mailto:mchetty@starfish.org.za\">mchetty@starfish.org.za<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>by <strong>30\/11\/2018<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Only application from South African citizens will be considered.<\/p>\n<p>Only successful candidates will be notified.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Starfish Greathearts Foundation (SGF(SA)) supports girls and boys, especially those orphaned or vulnerable, by working in partnership with community based organisations (CBOs) \u2013 strengthening them, funding them and working&#8230;..<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":1350,"featured_media":0,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"om_disable_all_campaigns":false,"jetpack_post_was_ever_published":false,"_jetpack_newsletter_access":"","_jetpack_newsletter_tier_id":0,"footnotes":"","jetpack_publicize_message":"","jetpack_is_tweetstorm":false,"jetpack_publicize_feature_enabled":true,"jetpack_social_post_already_shared":true,"jetpack_social_options":{"image_generator_settings":{"template":"highway","enabled":false}}},"categories":[243],"tags":[],"jetpack_publicize_connections":[],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v21.5 -
