CW receives reports of corruption from the public, investigates certain reports, exposes corruption through communications\u2019 platforms and mobilises the public to take a stand against corruption and the abuse of public funds.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title:\u00a0Junior Data Capturer<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Job Location:\u00a0<\/strong>Johannesburg<br \/>\n<strong>Reports to:<\/strong> Stakeholder Officer<\/p>\n<p>The purpose of the position is capture and respond to whistleblower reports received through Corruption Watch\u2019s numerous reporting channels.<\/p>\n<p>Responsibilities:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Receive and respond to reports received via Corruption Watch\u2019s reporting channels, including walk-ins, fax, telephone, email, online, WhatsApp and post<\/li>\n<li>Follow up with reporters to ensure that the full details of the corruption incident is captured and can therefore be classified appropriately<\/li>\n<li>Communicate with whistleblowers with updates on their reported case<\/li>\n<li>Referral of reports that fall outside of Corruption Watch\u2019s mandate to the relevant institutions<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Requirements:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Grade 12<\/li>\n<li>Understand corruption<\/li>\n<li>Understand the context in which CW works and how CW classifies corruption<\/li>\n<li>Interpersonal skills and empathy<\/li>\n<li>Verbal communication skills<\/li>\n<li>Written communication skills<\/li>\n<li>Computer Literacy: Microsoft Office<\/li>\n<li>Time management<\/li>\n<li>Attention to detail<\/li>\n<li>Problem solving skills<\/li>\n<li>Proficiency in at least two languages<\/li>\n<li>Team player \u2013 work well with others, include others, participate in teams led by others (e.g. campaigns)<\/li>\n<li>Honesty and Respect<\/li>\n<li>Integrity<\/li>\n<li>Patient and able to work under pressure<\/li>\n<li>Accuracy in capturing reports<\/li>\n<li>Initiative<\/li>\n<li>Flexibility<\/li>\n<li>Willingness to learn<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>To apply, submit your covering letter motivating your application for the position, concise CV (not more than five pages)\u00a0and three contactable work references (including email addresses) to\u00a0<strong><a href=\"mailto:admin@corruptionwatch.org.za\">admin@corruptionwatch.org.za<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Please note that only shortlisted candidates will be invited for an interview.<\/p>\n<p>If you do not hear from us within 30 days of the closing date, please consider your application unsuccessful.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Application Deadline:\u00a0<\/strong>30th November, 2018<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Corruption Watch (CW) is a nonprofit, civil society organisation.
