{"id":43841,"date":"2018-12-03T12:42:46","date_gmt":"2018-12-03T10:42:46","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/joblistsouthafrica.com\/?p=43841"},"modified":"2018-12-03T13:10:58","modified_gmt":"2018-12-03T11:10:58","slug":"living-hope-new-employment-opportunity-apply-now","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/joblistsouthafrica.com\/living-hope-new-employment-opportunity-apply-now.html","title":{"rendered":"Living Hope New Employment Opportunity &#8211; Apply Now!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>LIVING HOPE is a Christian Non-profit organization that strives to bring hope and break despair.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title:\u00a0Social Worker<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Job Location:\u00a0<\/strong>Western Cape<\/p>\n<p>Living Hope is looking for a Social Worker for our\u00a022 bed\u00a0Intermediate Health Care Centre based in Capri, Southern Peninsula &#8211; Western Cape.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Responsibilities\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Ensure that each patient admitted to the HCC has a complete psychosocial assessment<br \/>\n\u2022 Assist patient and families needing psychosocial support<br \/>\n\u2022 Provide therapeutic counselling appropriately<br \/>\n\u2022 Debriefing all children that are affected or ensure appropriate referral<br \/>\n\u2022 Mentoring and debriefing for staff in the HCC and the community when necessary<br \/>\n\u2022 Assisting with application for childcare, disability and social pensions<br \/>\n\u2022 Writing process notes on any intervention that has been undertaken<br \/>\n\u2022 Conduct home visits when necessary<br \/>\n\u2022 Work with welfare and health agencies<br \/>\n\u2022 Compilation of statistics and report writing.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Requirements<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>\u00a0<\/strong><br \/>\n\u2022 A suitable qualification and registration with the SACSSP<br \/>\n\u2022 Be able to work independently<br \/>\n\u2022 Good Knowledge of Social work ethics<br \/>\n\u2022 Good knowledge of children\u2019s\u00a0act\u00a0as well as the Health care act.<br \/>\n\u2022 Able to develop systems within the community<br \/>\n\u2022 Involvement in pastoral care or Ministry<br \/>\n\u2022 Palliative care experience preferred<br \/>\n\u2022 2 years + experience in working with adults in a Health Care environment<br \/>\n\u2022 Ability to speak\/read\/write in English and one other language \u2013 Xhosa or Afrikaans<br \/>\n\u2022 Valid Drivers License<\/p>\n<p>Candidates should reside within the Southern\u00a0Peninsula\u00a0area<\/p>\n<p>If you are interested please submit your\u00a02 PAGE\u00a0CV\u00a0and application letter detailing why\u00a0<em>you think you would be the most suitable candidate\u00a0<\/em>to\u00a0<a href=\"mailto:recruitment@livinghope.co.za\"><strong>recruitment@livinghope.co.za<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Kindly ensure that you provide your current contact details as short-listed candidates will be contacted to attend an interview.
