Planning<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Contribute to ensuring that the organisation\u2019s culture is informed by its values<\/li>\n<li>Hold the space for organisational reflection and growth, recognising, valuing and embracing the diversity of views, backgrounds and cultures of the workforce.<\/li>\n<li>Support the development and implementation of operational plans for programmes in area of responsibility<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Partner development<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Support the development and implementation of different franchise models<\/li>\n<li>Undertake testing, monitoring and modify models, as required<\/li>\n<li>Support the roll out of new partnerships, collaborations and stakeholders<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Programme Support &amp; Coordination<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Support the Shine Social Franchise Manager through overseeing and supporting high quality implementation of the Shine Literacy Hour programme<\/li>\n<li>Ensure compliance with operating standards across all Shine Literacy Hour programmes<\/li>\n<li>Disseminate the Shine Operations Manual and toolkit, ensuring up-to-date information, guidelines and templates are effectively communicated to Chapter and Centre Managers<\/li>\n<li>Undertake the Shine Literacy Hour quality assurance site visits, using Shine Literacy guidelines and tools<\/li>\n<li>Implement systems for measuring impact and capturing learning from Shine Literacy Hour programmes, according to Shine\u2019s monitoring and evaluation plan<\/li>\n<li>Support, train and set up process for new Chapters and Chapter Managers<\/li>\n<li>Implement communication mechanisms across Shine Literacy Hour programmes, undertaking efficient dissemination of information, ongoing sharing of good practice and effective peer support<\/li>\n<li>Keep the sustainability of all Shine Literacy Hour programmes under review and provide support and advice as needed<\/li>\n<li>Ensure that the Shine Literacy brand is properly promoted and protected by all Chapters and Centres<\/li>\n<li>Undertake any other tasks relating to the effective running of the Shine Literacy Hour programme, including providing input into an implementation plan each year<\/li>\n<li>Regularly travel to all Centres and Chapters located locally and nationally<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Operational Management<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Undertake supervision of the Shine Centre Managers, holding staff accountable to their individual key performance areas and goals<\/li>\n<li>Adhere to the fair application of HR policies and procedures, undertaking all required supervisory functions<\/li>\n<li>Contribute to a positive, safe and healthy work environment<\/li>\n<li>Undertake mentoring, training and development as required<\/li>\n<li>Undertake expenditure within authority, budget and Shine Literacy\u2019s financial policies and controls<\/li>\n<li>Undertake all administrative processes as required by Shine Literacy\u2019s policies and procedures<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Reporting<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Support the drafting of donor (and other) reports as required, contributing to reports where necessary<\/li>\n<li>Deliver all operational reports, as required by Shine administrative procedures and systems<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Training<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Support the Shine Social Franchise Manager in the delivery of all necessary training for new and current Chapter and Centre Managers<\/li>\n<li>Keep the training programme for Shine Literacy Hour programmes under review, and make recommendations for changes as needed<\/li>\n<li>Support the training team in delivering all related training<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Requirements:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Relevant bachelor\u2019s degree or diploma<\/li>\n<li>Five years of relevant experience with at least two years in supervisory or managerial role<\/li>\n<li>Experience and understanding of data collection and monitoring &amp; evaluation systems<\/li>\n<li>Experience in training of adults<\/li>\n<li>Experience in non-profit sector would be an advantage<\/li>\n<li>Experience in project coordination would be an advantage<\/li>\n<li>Valid driver\u2019s licence and a reliable vehicle<\/li>\n<li>Computer literacy, with high level of proficiency in all Microsoft applications<\/li>\n<li>Literate in both written and spoken English<\/li>\n<li>Working knowledge of Afrikaans, Xhosa or Zulu would be an advantage<\/li>\n<li>Organisational skills<\/li>\n<li>Attention to detail<\/li>\n<li>Comfortable developing and implementing project and monitoring &amp; evaluation systems<\/li>\n<li>Friendly and positive disposition, with professional demeanour<\/li>\n<li>Ability to work effectively and collaboratively as part of a cohesive and supportive team<\/li>\n<li>Ability to juggle a complex workload, prioritise effectively, take the initiative, problem solve, be flexible, and work with minimal supervision<\/li>\n<li>Proven ability to work within a team<\/li>\n<li>Trustworthy and reliable, with the ability to handle confidential information discreetly<\/li>\n<li>Willing to embrace the Shine Literacy ethos which is based on Nancy Kline\u2019s Time to Think<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>To apply, submit a motivational letter and your CV to\u00a0<strong><a href=\"mailto:work@shineliteracy.org.za\">work@shineliteracy.org.za<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>All applications must be received\u00a0by 5pm on Friday, 18 January 2019.
