The organisation builds on decades of international and local experience in re-designing and re-working streets and seeks to influence public life and policy related to streets in Cape Town and South Africa more broadly.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title:\u00a0Finance and Administration Officer<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Job Location:\u00a0<\/strong>Cape Town<br \/>\n<strong>Start date:<\/strong> Immediate<br \/>\n<strong>Salary:<\/strong> Commensurate<br \/>\n<strong>Duration:<\/strong> 12 months<\/p>\n<p>Responsibilities:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Develop and implement office processes and protocols for filing and administration<\/li>\n<li>Carry out cash disbursement and cash disbursement systems<\/li>\n<li>Carry out banking and bookkeeping administration<\/li>\n<li>Carry out programme and cash flow management<\/li>\n<li>Develop and implement financial systems and record keeping<\/li>\n<li>Carry out banking, bookkeeping administration, and auditing<\/li>\n<li>Liaise with OSCT\u2019s Treasurer to ensure adequate financial reporting to funders and organisational budgeting and reporting<\/li>\n<li>Prepare financial reports for the leadership or management as and when necessary<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Requirements:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Bachelor\u2019s degree in Administration, Finance, Business Management or equivalent work experience<\/li>\n<li>Minimum three years\u2019 experience working in an NGO environment<\/li>\n<li>Passion for building an inclusive and sustainable city<\/li>\n<li>Familiarity with Open Streets activities<\/li>\n<li>Ability to give attention to detail<\/li>\n<li>Ability to work independently, self-motivated and resourceful<\/li>\n<li>Ability to multi-task<\/li>\n<li>Ability to operate successfully under tight deadlines and time pressures<\/li>\n<li>Build, maintain and retain relationships<\/li>\n<li>Work well with communities and government officials alike<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>To apply, submit a detailed CV and cover letter to\u00a0<strong><a href=\"mailto:info@openstreets.co.za\">info@openstreets.co.za<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Application Deadline:\u00a0<\/strong>14th December, 2018<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Open Streets Cape Town is both an organisation and a philosophy which seeks to change how streets are used, perceived and experienced.
