{"id":43964,"date":"2018-12-11T12:17:48","date_gmt":"2018-12-11T10:17:48","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/joblistsouthafrica.com\/?p=43964"},"modified":"2018-12-11T12:17:48","modified_gmt":"2018-12-11T10:17:48","slug":"international-budget-partnership-new-job-opportunity","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/joblistsouthafrica.com\/international-budget-partnership-new-job-opportunity.html","title":{"rendered":"International Budget Partnership New Job Opportunity"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The International Budget Partnership collaborates with civil society around the world to analyze and influence public budgets in order to reduce poverty and improve the quality of governance.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title: Senior Operations And Finance Manager<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Job Location:\u00a0<\/strong>Cape Town<\/p>\n<p>The Senior Finance and Operations Manager will be reporting to the Country Manager of IBPSA, and will ensure careful, ethical and strategic finance and operations management of IBPSA in line with the organisational policies and values.<\/p>\n<p>Key responsibilities for this position include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Ensuring all statutory requirements are met on an ongoing basis<\/li>\n<li>Responsible for the smooth functioning of the office<\/li>\n<li>Streamlining the IBP office diary and coordinate staff travel and other logistics<\/li>\n<li>Streamlining office systems for efficiency and effectiveness<\/li>\n<li>Developing sound internal financial systems and ensure that developed systems are followed in practice<\/li>\n<li>Interacting directly with the book-keeper and ensuring that their contracted work is completed timeously and effectively<\/li>\n<li>Processing payments in keeping with agreed financial systems<\/li>\n<li>Responsible for the HR function of the IBPSA team<\/li>\n<li>Managing salary payment process \u2013 ensuring monthly payroll figures are sent to the Bookkeeper and payslips are generated<\/li>\n<li>Managing the grant approval process for partner grants<\/li>\n<li>Managing the reporting schedules of partner grants and prompt partners for timeous reports<\/li>\n<li>Creating budget templates for partners<\/li>\n<li>Managing monitoring and evaluation of partner grants<\/li>\n<li>Managing the reporting schedules of IBPSA funded grants<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The\u00a0Senior Operations and Finance Manager\u00a0must have and be able to demonstrate:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Bachelor\u2019s degree in social science, economics, or a related development field<\/li>\n<li>5 &#8211; 10 years\u2019 experience in working in an international development sector organisation at a senior administrative level<\/li>\n<li>Experience in managing financial and human resource systems<\/li>\n<li>Experience in streamlining administrative systems, diaries and logistical arrangements<\/li>\n<li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to develop long distance functional working relationships with head office staff in Washington DC<\/li>\n<li>Skills in problem-solving, troubleshooting and general lateral and logical thinking are essential<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Please send your CV, letter of motivation and complete the\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.actionappointments.co.za\/uploads\/1\/5\/3\/7\/15374534\/aa_bio_summary.doc\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"color: #2a2a2a;\">AA bio summary form<\/span><\/a>\u00a0in MS word format to:\u00a0<strong><a href=\"mailto:tracy@actionappointments.co.za\">tracy@actionappointments.co.za<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The International Budget Partnership collaborates with civil society around the world to analyze and influence public budgets in order to reduce poverty and improve the quality of governance.
