\nReporting to the Africa Finance Director, this position leads the financial reporting function for OUP\u2019s African businesses and manages the Record to Report Team to prepare accounts and implement effective internal controls to ensure that the region\u2019s Transactional Accounting, Tax, Treasury, and Audit matters are handled effectively. The incumbent of this role will be a key member of the Africa Finance management team.

\n\u2022The creation and distribution of financial reports which provide an accurate picture of the financial position of the Africa Region.
\n\u2022Compliance with legislation in respect of statutory returns across all branches in the Africa Region.
\n\u2022Final trial balance is handed to auditors on time.
\n\u2022Ensure that productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders are maintained.
\n\u2022Employee management and motivation

\n\u2022Budgets managed effectively<\/p>\n
\nAcademic Qualifications: SAICA \u2013 Chartered Accountant
\nWork Experience: 3 years post-articles experience, 3 years management experience,The successful candidate must be able to clearly demonstrate the following abilities:\u2022Leadership of a financial function
\n\u2022Provision of financial reporting services to multiple stakeholders through a shared service environment
\n\u2022Demonstrable experience of delivering change successfully in a complex environment
\n\u2022Excellent people management skills
\n\u2022Management of ERP system (preferably SAP)
\n\u2022Delivery of continuous improvement to finance processes and controls
\n\u2022Statutory reporting and returns across multiple jurisdictions
\n\u2022Knowledge of international Publishing\/
\nEducation\/Creative Media industry involving IP ownership and royalties.<\/p>\n
