{"id":44156,"date":"2019-01-09T10:00:48","date_gmt":"2019-01-09T08:00:48","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/joblistsouthafrica.com\/?p=44156"},"modified":"2019-01-08T12:58:11","modified_gmt":"2019-01-08T10:58:11","slug":"right2know-available-job-opportunity","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/joblistsouthafrica.com\/right2know-available-job-opportunity.html","title":{"rendered":"Right2Know Available Job Opportunity"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Right2Know Campaign (R2K) is looking for an experienced Finance Coordinator to oversee the day-to-day financial management of the organization to support efficient and effective campaigning efforts and ensure R2K continues to grow as a vibrant democratic Campaign.<\/p>\n<p>This is an opportunity to work with committed activists around the country to support popular campaigns that have a real impact on the challenges facing South Africa at this critical period in our democracy.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title:\u00a0Finance Coordinator\u00a0<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Job Location:\u00a0<\/strong>Cape Town<\/p>\n<p>Responsibilities:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Work with R2K staff and leaders to maintain effective financial oversight characterized by transparency and accountability;<\/li>\n<li>Monitor compliance with fiduciary obligations, develop and maintain financial policies systems;<\/li>\n<li>Ensure the production of regular financial reports and audits;<\/li>\n<li>Ensure R2K complies with various statutory and contractual obligations.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure campaign resources are available to staff and activists to full their mandate;<\/li>\n<li>Manage the Campaign\u2019s administrative staff;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Requirements:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Minimum 3 years proven experience in a comparable position in the non-profit field;<\/li>\n<li>A relevant tertiary qualification;<\/li>\n<li>Commitment to the democratic principles of the R2K Campaign;<\/li>\n<li>In-depth knowledge of non-profit financial governance, financial management, and general management best practice \u2013 the ability to work with Pastel Accounting and Payroll will be a strong advantage.<\/li>\n<li>Understand performance management principles and maintain good working relationships with staff and volunteer activists in flexible team environments;<\/li>\n<li>Excellent written\/verbal communication skills with multilingualism being an advantage;<\/li>\n<li>Ability to self-manage and multi-task, pay attention to detail, planning, organising and time management;<\/li>\n<li>Strong computer skills essential (word processing, spreadsheets, e-mail and Internet);<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The Right2Know is offering the opportunity to have a real impact on the challenges facing South Africa from within a dynamic environment and supportive team.<\/p>\n<p>The successful candidate will be based at our National Office in Salt River, Cape Town.<\/p>\n<p>To apply please \u00a0upload a CV with contactable references and and a cover letter outlining how you meet the requirements listed above using this form:\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/goo.gl\/forms\/nDGObKenBpj6mZqp1\">https:\/\/goo.gl\/forms\/nDGObKenBpj6mZqp1<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Applications close at 12h00 on<strong> Thursday 24 January 2019<\/strong>.
