With over three decades of experience in developing people\u2019s skills, TCS offers its clients and residents access to a free ablution facilities, regular health and wellness clinic days, social care support, short-term accommodation and life skills training to help them become financially stable and rejoin mainstream society.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title:\u00a0Marketing and Fundraising Executive<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Job Location:\u00a0<\/strong>Cape Town<br \/>\n<strong>Reports to:<\/strong> The Director<br \/>\n<strong>Start Date:<\/strong> 1 February 2019<\/p>\n<p>The purpose of the Marketing and Fundraising Executive is to perform various marketing activities that increases TCS\u2019s profile and supports awareness and fundraising; and to undertake fundraising activities to secure and grow funding and donor income to meet TCS\u2019s strategic and operational plans.<\/p>\n<p>Responsibilities:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Plan, develop and deliver communications and marketing functions<\/li>\n<li>Identify, attract and secure new sponsorships, donations and funding grants.<\/li>\n<li>Write and distribute funding proposals to a targeted number of potential donors, trusts, foundations, institutions and international funders.<\/li>\n<li>Develop, nurture and maintain professional relationships with donors and to steward existing funder relationships<\/li>\n<li>Support the generation of new business for TCS\u2019s various social enterprises<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Requirements:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Minimum of three to five years\u2019 experience in Marketing and Fundraising<\/li>\n<li>Communication skills (written, verbal and presentation)<\/li>\n<li>Proficient in digital and social\u00a0media\u00a0platforms<\/li>\n<li>A relevant tertiary qualification will be advantageous<\/li>\n<li>A background in, or an understanding of\u00a0the NPO sector\u00a0will be beneficial<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge and\u00a0understanding of the homeless phenomenon<\/li>\n<li>Administration, planning and organizational skills<\/li>\n<li>Action oriented and results driven<\/li>\n<li>Own transport and a valid driver\u2019s\u00a0license.<\/li>\n<li>Proficient\u00a0computer skills in MS Office and the ability to use relevant CRM applications<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>To apply, submit your CV and motivational letter\u00a0(less than 1 page)\u00a0to\u00a0<strong><a href=\"mailto:HR@tcs.org.za\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">HR@tcs.org.za<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Please quote \u201cMFE FEB19\u201d in the subject line, or on any application correspondence.<\/p>\n<p>Should you not receive any feedback from us within 2 weeks of the above closing date, please consider your application unsuccessful.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Application Deadline:<\/strong> 18th January, 2019<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Carpenter\u2019s Shop (TCS), founded in 1981, is a non-profit organisation based in Cape Town.
