This is a fixed-term two-year contract position.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title: Academic Manager<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Location:<\/strong> Durban<\/p>\n<p>The CASME Academic Manager is a strategic leadership position within the organisation, working closely with the Director, programme team and administrative support to support innovation, quality management and delivery.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Requirements:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Demonstrated understanding of current research and emerging trends in education with particular reference to the provision of mathematics and science education<\/li>\n<li>At least 3 years\u2019 project management experience preferably in an education environment<\/li>\n<li>Driven to conceptualise and lead the development and implementation of innovative education programmes<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Attributes<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Ability to undertake educational research and apply the findings in diverse contexts;<\/li>\n<li>Educational programme design and materials development experience;<\/li>\n<li>Presentation and facilitation skills;<\/li>\n<li>Strategic and innovative thinker;<\/li>\n<li>People management and support;<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of learning management systems;<\/li>\n<li>Information and Communication Technology skills within the context of digital learning<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0A Master\u2019s degree in mathematics or science education<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Eligibility<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Internal and external applicants are eligible.<\/li>\n<li>Interested applicants should submit an application letter accompanied by a detailed CV including at least two recent references to Henre Benson at\u00a0<strong><a href=\"mailto:benson@casme.org.za\">benson@casme.org.za<\/a><\/strong><\/li>\n<li>The salary package is negotiable based on experience and educational level.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The closing date for this application is <strong>18 January 2019.<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>CASME is seeking to appoint an Academic Manager who will provide the necessary academic leadership and programme management for the organisation.
