The bursary will finance certificates, diplomas, and degree courses at accredited further and higher education institutions.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Eligibility<\/strong><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>South African citizenship<\/li>\n<li>Academic potential \/ satisfactory academic performance (academic progress report if already at an institution)<\/li>\n<li>Field of study (heritage related)<\/li>\n<li>Financial circumstances<\/li>\n<li>Acceptance letter or proof of registration at an institution of higher learning<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><strong>Fields of Study<\/strong><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Archaeology (Marine, etc)<\/li>\n<li>Archives and Record Management<\/li>\n<li>Conservation of Built Environment<\/li>\n<li>Collections (Cultural &amp; Natural) Management<\/li>\n<li>Heritage Resources Management<\/li>\n<li>Museum Management and Curatorship<\/li>\n<li>Courses that contribute to the preservation and promotion of SA Living Heritage<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>VALUE OF THE BURSARY<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Study fees payable directly to the institution of learning<\/li>\n<li>Accommodation<\/li>\n<li>Books<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><strong>Required Documents:<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>The following documents must accompany the application:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Certified copy of birth certificate or ID document<\/li>\n<li>Certified copy of the salary statement or affidavit (if not working) of your parents\/guardians<\/li>\n<li>Certified copy of Grade 12 June results \/Grade 12 results<\/li>\n<li>If already studying \u2013 latest results \/ academic record<\/li>\n<li>Acceptance letter or proof of registration at an institution of higher learning<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><strong>How to Apply<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><strong>* Please note that their site seems to be down at the moment<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.dac.gov.za\/bursaries\/DAC%20HERITAGE%20BURSARY%20ADVERTISEMENT.pdf\" target=\"_blank\">Application forms<\/a>\u00a0can be obtained from the offices of the Department of Arts and Culture, 5TH Floor, 481 Kingsley Centre, Cnr.
