The Leadership Academy aims to support young people to look beyond these circumstances and seize hold of their own capacity to make a positive difference in their own and in their schools and communities.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title: Faculty<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Job Location:\u00a0<\/strong>Johannesburg<\/p>\n<p>The role of Faculty is to lead a process of learning for educators and learners, the role requires facilitation of concepts and principles as per the Columba Programme elicitation model using both verbal and non-verbal techniques that are appropriate for the development of participants. The bulk of the work takes place in the context of a 6 Day Residential Academy.<br \/>\nKey Performance Areas:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Communicate with Principals, Educators and Learners<\/li>\n<li>Stakeholder engagement with the Department of Education, Investors, Government Representatives<\/li>\n<li>Develop and deliver presentations and speeches at a senior level<\/li>\n<li>Facilitate Leadership Academy Programme<\/li>\n<li>Report Writing<\/li>\n<li>Data Capturing<\/li>\n<li>Prepare participants for Residential Academy<\/li>\n<li>Collect and prepare documentation for Residential Academy<\/li>\n<li>Plan, facilitate and transcribe exit interviews with learner particpants<\/li>\n<li>Participate in Residential Academy planning 2 weeks before each Residential Academy<\/li>\n<li>Implement Monitoring and Evaluation plan with support from Monitoring and Evaluation Team<\/li>\n<li>Contribute to provincial reports for investors \u2013 indentifying and sharing positive stories and taking photographs of activities<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Requirements:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Bachelor of Psychology or a Social Sciences Degree, Youth or Community Development Degree<\/li>\n<li>Must have 3 to 5 years\u2019 experience in Youth Development<\/li>\n<li>Driver\u2019s licence essential<\/li>\n<li>Must be willing to travel extensively in South Africa<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0Willing to be away from home for 2 weeks per month<\/li>\n<li>Must be proficient in MS Office. Competent in MS Projects advantageous<\/li>\n<li>Excellent report writing skills essential<\/li>\n<li>Excellent data capturing skills essential<\/li>\n<li>Proficiency in written and verbal English<\/li>\n<li>Excellent interpersonal skills, have the ability to take initiative and be a team player<\/li>\n<li>Adaptability and ability to work in a fluid environment<\/li>\n<li>Assertiveness<\/li>\n<li>Planning skills<\/li>\n<li>Administratively strong<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>If interested: CV applications, together with a letter of motivation clearly stating which position you are applying for, should be submitted to<strong>\u00a0<\/strong><strong><a href=\"mailto:careers@columba.org.za\">careers@columba.org.za<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Regret only suitable candidates will be contacted.
