SFH in South Africa concentrates on issues of HIV\/ AIDS. As part of their HIV\/AIDS control efforts, SFH is using social marketing to motivate behaviour change with respect to consistent condom use, HIV testing and other safer behaviours.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title:\u00a0<\/strong><strong>Monitoring and Evaluation\u00a0<\/strong><strong>Officer<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Department:\u00a0<\/strong>Monitoring and Evaluation\u00a0Department<br \/>\n<strong>Location: <\/strong>Parktown<br \/>\n<strong>Employment status: <\/strong>Project based contract<\/p>\n<p><strong>Responsibilities include:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Data Tracking and Coordination<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Develop annual calendar of all donor data administration requirements and deadlines<\/li>\n<li>Review and monitor data received<\/li>\n<li>Input into database development<\/li>\n<li>Update relevant stakeholders and team members on data collection progress<\/li>\n<li>Capacitate program manager\u2019s ability to analyze data for decision making<\/li>\n<li>Address and, if required, escalate late or non-compliant data challenges<\/li>\n<li>Coordinate that all data is collected and complete and captured by defined deadlines<\/li>\n<li>Resolve relevant organizational data efficiently ensuring compliance<\/li>\n<li>Supervise data collection teams with field staff, overseeing data collection activities and regularly monitoring data quality<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Database Management Systems Support\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Input into data collection system in consultation with the internal stakeholders<\/li>\n<li>Support the system design and update based on the changing requirements of donors<\/li>\n<li>Support sites to collate and submit DHIS data<\/li>\n<li>Manage the implementation of the data collection system and amendments through training new users and communicating with service providers and users on progress<\/li>\n<li>Communicate systems enhancements and changes to all relevant parties within agreed turnaround time<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Data Quality Management<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Support development of SOPs and M&amp;E Plans<\/li>\n<li>Review all data on databases and check for accuracy and completeness<\/li>\n<li>Address data quality issues within deadline<\/li>\n<li>Conduct data quality audits onsite and off site<\/li>\n<li>Identify common data collection and quality challenges and issues and report on these including recommendations on how to address the challenges<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Data Analysis and Reporting<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Compile the organizational reports compliantly, completely, on time and according to donor commitments and reporting specifications<\/li>\n<li>Review all data, identifying and analyzing trends and relevant opportunities and threats<\/li>\n<li>Compile and present reports and recommendations<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Capacity Development\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Ensure that all staff receive adequate training on all data related issues<\/li>\n<li>Capacitate program staff to accurate collect and consolidate data<\/li>\n<li>Train field staff on indicators and related SOPs for program data collection<\/li>\n<li>Train field staff on the data management information system<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Data Use and Dissemination<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Support program planning, reviewing and formal program evaluations<\/li>\n<li>Support program staff on Abstract writing for scientific gatherings<\/li>\n<li>Promote data use for decision making<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Qualifications include:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Degree in Health Economics, Health Sciences, Epidemiology, Biostatistics, Social Sciences or related research-based qualification is essential<\/li>\n<li>Post graduate qualification will be an added advantage<\/li>\n<li>Ability to work independently<\/li>\n<li>Ability to work with tight deadlines<\/li>\n<li>Valid driver\u2019s license<\/li>\n<li>Minimum of at least 3 years working experience in M&amp;E and possibly Research<\/li>\n<li>Good understanding of the South African Health information management systems<\/li>\n<li>Previous M&amp;E experience in a donor-funded program will be an added advantage<\/li>\n<li>Ability to work independently and pro-actively, and as part of a team<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>HOW TO APPLY<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Please send your full application to\u00a0<strong><a href=\"mailto:recruitment@sfh.co.za\">recruitment@sfh.co.za<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0by\u00a0<strong>25 January 2019<\/strong>.\u00a0 All application submissions will be reviewed and considered, only the most qualified candidates will be short listed and contacted for interviews.\u00a0 SFH is an equal opportunity employer.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Society for Family Health (SFH) is a South African affiliate of Population Services International (PSI), an international NGO network operational in over 70 countries.
