The Institute is part of an education consortium selected to implement USAID funded Literacy Project in the Northwest and Limpopo provinces between 2017 to 2020.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title:\u00a0Programme Manager<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Job Location:\u00a0<\/strong>\u00a0Houghton, Johannesburg<br \/>\n<strong>Reports to:<\/strong> Chief Executive Officer<br \/>\n<strong>Duration:\u00a0<\/strong>Permanent, Full time position<\/p>\n<p><strong>Responsibilities:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Build the training and development division (Academy) into a sustainable, efficiently operating program to ensure long term vision of establishing a training and development Institution for Practitioner development<\/li>\n<li>Envision, shape and guide programme growth in a way that maximises the Organisation\u2019s footprint in the space of Early Childhood Development; this includes identifying new opportunities and securing new funding partners<\/li>\n<li>Ensure the expansion of the Academy\u2019s offering to neighbouring southern African countries, east and west Africa in the long run<\/li>\n<li>Establish and run an efficient training and development unit\/academy within Molteno<\/li>\n<li>Provide strategic support to CEO, Advisory Board and Board of the Institute<\/li>\n<li>Implement Quality Management and Assurance Systems<\/li>\n<li>Provide project support to stakeholders and funders<\/li>\n<li>Establish and implement revenue generating skills development and training programmes<\/li>\n<li>Manage stakeholder relations and ensure compliance to legislative requirements<\/li>\n<li>Manage and develop high performance teams both at National and Provincial levels<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Requirements:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Bachelor\u2019s degree required; Masters will be an added advantage<\/li>\n<li>Experience in skills development and training sector with at least 5 years in managerial positions<\/li>\n<li>The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in non-profit or socially orientated entity with the ability to launch new ideas and generate revenue streams<\/li>\n<li>Proven experience as a self-starter requiring no supervision and the ability to work with limited resources. and staff to achieve results.\u00a0 Must have an entrepreneurial spirit and have a strong desire to succeed<\/li>\n<li>Written and spoken communication skills and the ability to speak more than one official South African language<\/li>\n<li>Ability to write high-quality proposals, concept notes and pitch documents<\/li>\n<li>Ability to write quality reports<\/li>\n<li>Possess financial skills and have the ability to draw up budgets and financial reports.<\/li>\n<li>Valid Code 8 driver\u2019s license<\/li>\n<li>Willingness and availability to travel extensively<\/li>\n<li>Integrity, professionalism, positive attitude, self-directed, mission-directed<\/li>\n<li>Proven track record of working successfully within teams<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>To apply, submit CV with motivational letter to\u00a0<strong><a href=\"mailto:precious@molteno.co.za\">precious@molteno.co.za<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Only shortlisted candidates will be responded to.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Application Deadline:\u00a0<\/strong>31st Jan, 2019<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Molteno Institute for Language and Literacy (The Institute) is a South African literacy NGO based in Johannesburg with footprints in some provinces and the African continent.
