The suitable candidate will have at least 2 \u2013 5 years\u2019 experience, have developed skills in the criminal justice sector and, ideally, in programme communication and media. Specifically, APCOF is looking for someone who has experience in:<\/p>\n<p>Requirements:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The development and implementation of project plans to deliver on overall programme strategy and objectives.<\/li>\n<li>The preparation of project budgets and narrative reports, as well as expense forecasts.<\/li>\n<li>Research and writing skills.<\/li>\n<li>Communication skills.<\/li>\n<li>A degree in the criminal justice field, with<\/li>\n<li>2- 5 years experience in relation to policing issues<\/li>\n<li>Experience in project implementation, management and fundraising<\/li>\n<li>Administrative skills<\/li>\n<li>Proficiency in written and spoken English<\/li>\n<li>Experience in research, with a proven publications record<\/li>\n<li>Experience in media and communication including both mainstream and social media<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Applicants are required to send:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Curriculum vitae, including a full list of publications<\/li>\n<li>One single-authored publication<\/li>\n<li>Names and contact information of 3 referees<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Send applications to: Helene van der Watt at\u00a0<strong><a href=\"mailto:helene@apcof.org.za\">helene@apcof.org.za<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The closing date for the applications is <strong>31 January 2019.<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>AFRICAN POLICING CIVILIAN OVERSIGHT FORUM (APCOF) is a Not-for-Profit Trust working on issues of police accountability and governance in Africa.
