IRJ is\u00a0an independent organisation located at the interface between civil society and academia.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title:\u00a0Programme Manager (to\u00a0head the Sustained Dialogues Programme)<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Job Location:<\/strong>\u00a0Cape Town<br \/>\n<strong>Reports to:\u00a0<\/strong>Executive Director<\/p>\n<p>The purpose of the Programme Manager is to drive the strategic direction of the programme with input from the Project Leaders and guidance of the Executive Director.<\/p>\n<p>Responsibilities:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Manage a team of Project Leaders and will be responsible for ensuring that programme deliverables are clearly defined, achieved and regularly reviewed<\/li>\n<li>Form part of the Senior Management Team and will actively participate in strategic and operational decision-making for the organisation<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Requirements:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Master\u2019s Degree in Social Development, Psychology, Politics or related fields<\/li>\n<li>Five to eight\u2019 years working experience in their field of expertise<\/li>\n<li>Working knowledge of current affairs both locally and globally;<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of key political, social and economic trends in Southern Africa<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge and experience in Community Reconciliation work and Transitional Justice<\/li>\n<li>Experience working at community level<\/li>\n<li>In-depth knowledge about South Africa\u2019s history and current national political and societal issues and debates<\/li>\n<li>Minimum of two South African official languages<\/li>\n<li>Proven ability to develop a budget based on the programme strategy and actively manage reporting and expenditure;<\/li>\n<li>Can manage complexity, and think strategically;<\/li>\n<li>Proven ability to manage a project from inception to delivery; including working with budgets, managing dependencies and taking responsibility for project success;<\/li>\n<li>Able to drive to project planning and strategic direction of the unit and actively involve the entire team.<\/li>\n<li>Proven ability to manage the performance and development of a small team.<\/li>\n<li>Information dissemination skills<\/li>\n<li>Facilitation and presentation skills<\/li>\n<li>Proven track record in developing and managing programmes or curriculums<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge and experience working within a monitoring and evaluation framework<\/li>\n<li>Project and programme planning skills<\/li>\n<li>Strategic planning skills<\/li>\n<li>Teambuilding and debriefing<\/li>\n<li>Relationship management and can interact at all levels<\/li>\n<li>Research, writing, application and thought leadership<\/li>\n<li>Written or published articles\/papers or developed programmes<\/li>\n<li>Must be able to play a strong mentorship and leadership role within the team.<\/li>\n<li>Confident, assertive communicator who can work comfortably with diverse groups of people and across all levels;<\/li>\n<li>Good writing skills in English and another SA language;<\/li>\n<li>Attention to detail<\/li>\n<li>Able to prioritize work and manage deadlines<\/li>\n<li>Innovative and creative, able to see new opportunities<\/li>\n<li>Planning and time management \u2013 meets deadlines<\/li>\n<li>Reflective and open to learning<\/li>\n<li>High level of Emotional Intelligence<\/li>\n<li>Drivers licence<\/li>\n<li>Fluent in a South African language other than home language<\/li>\n<li>Willingness to travel when required<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>To apply, submit your CV and cover letter to Attention: Ms. Elisha Kotze, Operations Manager: email address:\u00a0<a href=\"mailto:ekotze@ijr.org.za\"><strong>ekotze@ijr.org.za<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Please note that only short-listed candidates will be contacted.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Application Deadline:\u00a0<\/strong>8th Feb, 2019<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Institute for Justice and Reconciliation (IJR) was founded in 2000, in the wake of the Truth and Reconciliation Commission and with the purpose of building of fair, democratic and&#8230;..<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":1350,"featured_media":0,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"om_disable_all_campaigns":false,"jetpack_post_was_ever_published":false,"_jetpack_newsletter_access":"","_jetpack_newsletter_tier_id":0,"footnotes":"","jetpack_publicize_message":"","jetpack_is_tweetstorm":false,"jetpack_publicize_feature_enabled":true,"jetpack_social_post_already_shared":true,"jetpack_social_options":{"image_generator_settings":{"template":"highway","enabled":false}}},"categories":[243],"tags":[],"jetpack_publicize_connections":[],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v21.5 -
