We wish to invite suitably qualified candidates to apply for the below position.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title: Finance Manager<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Reference #:\u00a0<\/strong>OWSBOTS056<br \/>\n<strong>Contract Type:\u00a0<\/strong>Permanent<br \/>\n<strong>Location:\u00a0<\/strong>Botswana<br \/>\n<strong>Job Functions:\u00a0<\/strong>Accounting, Auditing, Finance<br \/>\n<strong>Industries:\u00a0<\/strong>Academic, Accounting, Accounting &amp; Auditing, Financial Services<\/p>\n<p><strong>Specification<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Primary Purpose<br \/>\nThe Financial Manager produces financial reports and develops strategies based on financial research. They guide management in making sound financial business decisions in the long and short term.<\/p>\n<p>KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREAS<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Management of Okavango Wilderness Safaris Pty Ltd and its related companies\u2019 finance team<\/li>\n<li>Recruitment, management and development of finance staff<\/li>\n<li>On time submission of monthly accounts, along with which goes:<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul style=\"list-style-type: circle;\">\n<li>Provision of accurate and timeous financial information<\/li>\n<li>Maintenance of accurate and complete accounting records<\/li>\n<li>Preparation of monthly management accounts commentaries<\/li>\n<li>Managing the month-end process<\/li>\n<li>Preparation and submission of monthly group reporting packs<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Working capital management, including Bank and Cash, Accounts Receivables, Inventory and Accounts Payables as well as all the associated processes<\/li>\n<li>Processing of group related and third party revenue<\/li>\n<li>Reviewing work done by junior staff and ensuring it meets Wilderness Safaris\u2019 minimum quality standards<\/li>\n<li>Tax compliance including preparation and submission of all relevant tax returns (VAT, WHT, Income Tax, deferred tax calculations.)<\/li>\n<li>Preparation and review of cash availability reports and monthly Cash Flows<\/li>\n<li>Implementation and maintenance of effective systems of internal control<\/li>\n<li>Completion of the quarterly Rolling Forecasts<\/li>\n<li>Management of the annual year- end audit<\/li>\n<li>Preparation of year-end audit packs and interim reporting pack<\/li>\n<li>Management of the Capex process and Fixed Asset Registers<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Requirements<\/strong><br \/>\nREQUIRED MINIMUM EDUCATION \/ TRAINING<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Newly qualified Accountant (CA, ACCA, CIMA etc.)<\/li>\n<li>Advanced Excel<\/li>\n<li>Computer Literate<\/li>\n<li>Working\/practical knowledge of Botswana Companies Act, Income Tax, VAT, statutory deductions, etc.REQUIRED MINIMUM WORK EXPERIENCE<\/li>\n<li>A minimum of 4 years, with at least 2 years\u2019 experience at a managerial level with total responsibility for the complete financial reporting function, or<\/li>\n<li>External audit experience up to at least Audit Supervisor level<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>SKILLS &amp; ATTRIBUTES<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Leadership and supervisory skills<\/li>\n<li>Team player and ability to interact with non-financial staff<\/li>\n<li>Organized, methodical, analytical and with an eye for detail<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0Deadline and results orientated<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Job Closing Date:<\/strong>\u00a015\/02\/2019<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Wilderness Safaris is a responsible luxury ecotourism company that exists to protect pristine wilderness areas and the flora and fauna that they support.
