SFH in South Africa concentrates on issues of HIV\/ AIDS. As part of their HIV\/AIDS control efforts, SFH is using social marketing to motivate behaviour change with respect to consistent condom use, HIV testing and other safer behaviours.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title: VMMC Technical Director<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Department: <\/strong>Medical Programs- VMMC<br \/>\n<strong>Location: <\/strong>Park town<br \/>\n<strong>Employment status: <\/strong>Fixed Term Contract<br \/>\n<strong>Responsibilities\u00a0include:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Goals and strategy<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Develop strategic plans based on what donors, government and SFH want<\/li>\n<li>Monitor progress on achieving goals of strategic plans towards SFH and donor targets<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Technical guidance<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Provide technical guidance to all VMMC activities including the review and management of operational procedures<\/li>\n<li>Give input into marketing strategies to reach 15-34-year-old males<\/li>\n<li>Ensure the quality and effectiveness of the VMMC program<\/li>\n<li>Provide technical guidance in the assessment, development, implementation and evaluation of VMMC services and support linkages to STI, ART and TB care.<\/li>\n<li>Develop VMMC SOP<\/li>\n<li>Conduct regular site visits to review program implementation and provide onsite and telephonic support as needed and make recommendations for corrective action as required.<\/li>\n<li>Strengthen the capacity of service delivery teams to provide comprehensive VMMC services in alignment to National and PEPFAR guidelines and policies<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Supervision<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Supervise Program Managers and ensure that they grow in their jobs, skills and abilities<\/li>\n<li>Ensure all subordinate staff meet expectations and provide high quality standard of work<\/li>\n<li>Ensure use of evidence (data) in program management<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Relationship management<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Internal<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Manage departmental synergies \u2013 in relation to your programs<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>External<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Serve on interagency and SAG technical working groups (TWG)<\/li>\n<li>Attend donor and DOH meetings<\/li>\n<li>Share donor and DOH expectations with team members<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Budget<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Work with Finance to develop donor budgets<\/li>\n<li>Oversee overall adherence to approved budgets in accordance with SFH financial policies<\/li>\n<li>Approve expenditure for your department<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Reporting<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Develop year-to-year work-plans in collaboration with program manager and supporting teams<\/li>\n<li>Support implementation teams in the development and monitoring of implementation plans<\/li>\n<li>Provide expert advice on program target and analyse program results against targets and make recommendations for corrective action<\/li>\n<li>Submit monthly reports to Country Director<\/li>\n<li>Support SI Director to compile and submit all donor reports<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Qualifications include:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Requirements<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Bachelor of Medical and Surgical degree\/ Bachelor\u2019s Degree in Social Science or similar<\/li>\n<li>Registration with HPCSA<\/li>\n<li>Experience in MMC and surgery<\/li>\n<li>Five years\u2019 experience in Medical Male Circumcision and HIV<\/li>\n<li>Ten years\u2019 experience in Program Management<\/li>\n<li>Experience working with donors and government<\/li>\n<li>Experience in managing budgets and writing proposals<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>HOW TO APPLY<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Please send your full application to<strong>\u00a0<\/strong><a href=\"mailto:recruitment@sfh.co.za\"><strong>recruitment@sfh.co.za<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0by<strong> 22 February 2019<\/strong>.\u00a0All application submissions will be reviewed and considered, only the most qualified candidates will be shortlisted and contacted for interviews.
