It provides free advice and support to workers, privileging casual, contract, labour broker and other precarious workers.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title:<\/strong>\u00a0<strong>Women\u2019s Organiser\u00a0<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Job Location:<\/strong>\u00a0Johannesburg<br \/>\n<strong>Salary:<\/strong> Commensurate with experience<\/p>\n<p>Responsibilities:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Provide organising and mobilising support for women workers<\/li>\n<li>Assist in developing and leading campaigns in which the demands of women workers are central<\/li>\n<li>Coordinate meetings and workshops for women workers<\/li>\n<li>Identify educational needs specific to the needs of women workers<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Requirements:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Previous experience with social and \/ or labour movements, particularly with women workers and community members<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of labour struggles and the specific situation of women within labour struggles<\/li>\n<li>Written and verbal communication skills in several South African languages<\/li>\n<li>Ability to work independently in a demanding environment<\/li>\n<li>Ability to work within a democratic collective culture<\/li>\n<li>Computer literacy<\/li>\n<li>A valid driving licence<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>To apply, submit a motivational letter, an up-to-date CV and details of two contactable referees to\u00a0<a href=\"mailto:women@cwao.org.za\"><strong>women@cwao.org.za<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Preference will be given to black women candidates.<\/p>\n<p>Note that only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Application Deadline:\u00a0<\/strong>15th Feb, 2019<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Casual Workers Advice Office (CWAO) was founded in 2011 as a nonprofit, independent organisation.
