pursuit of social and environmental justice.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title: Climate Change<br \/>\nProgramme Manager<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Responsibilities:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Strategic planning and project implementation<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Work with the Executive Director and Hub Directors to further develop, maximise the impact of and expand the programmes across Africa<\/li>\n<li>Assist in the development of the programmes\u2019 strategies, and manage the planning and implementation of programmes including deliverables, timelines and budgeting<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Technical Advice<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Provide technical and legal advice to partners, affected communities and other relevant stakeholders<\/li>\n<li>Provide comments and training on environmental impact assessments, climate change assessments and other relevant permitting processes<\/li>\n<li>Respond to inquiries of partners or relevant stakeholders<\/li>\n<li>Support the litigation of relevant cases<\/li>\n<li>Deliver presentations, organise and conduct workshops \/ meetings<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Policy and Legal Reform<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Identify and engage with key policy issues and key collaborators<\/li>\n<li>Provide comments and make submissions on relevant law and policy<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Legal Empowerment<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Develop and deliver community trainings on laws and legal empowerment methodologies<\/li>\n<li>Develop, improve and implement legal empowerment approaches<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Research<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Develop research assignments with the programme directors or hub director and researcher<\/li>\n<li>Write research reports, concept documents, academic papers, organisational reports<\/li>\n<li>Share research findings with stakeholders and at relevant national and international for a.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Partnerships and Networks<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Identify, build and maintain networks and\/or partnerships with relevant stakeholders: government, civil society groups, the private sector and academics<\/li>\n<li>Represent Natural Justice at key national, regional and global fora and processes on behalf of the organisation<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Finance and Administration<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Manage the financial, administrative and procurement processes of the projects within the programme<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Oversight and Fundraising<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Provide oversight and support to programme officers and paralegals in relation to programme activities and deliverables<\/li>\n<li>Assist the country and\/or programme directors to identify funding sources, prepare grant applications, report to, develop and manage relationships with funders<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Requirements:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Bachelor of laws with at least five years of demonstrated work expertise in environmental law, including natural resource and\/or land law, and administrative law<\/li>\n<li>A post-graduate degree in law, political science or other relevant social science discipline is desirable<\/li>\n<li>Experience in conducting field work and working with marginalised communities<\/li>\n<li>Experience communicating complex legal issues in an accessible way to communities<\/li>\n<li>Experience relating to research or project experience related to policy advocacy<\/li>\n<li>Experience with conducting primary and\/or desktop research and preparing clear and analytical reports (with proof of published work)<\/li>\n<li>Experience writing applications and reporting to donors<\/li>\n<li>Programme management experience, including budgeting, project planning, contract drafting, monitoring and evaluation<\/li>\n<li>Experience in managing and supervising teams<\/li>\n<li>An understanding of and experience in the socio-political and civil society work in the countries we work in<\/li>\n<li>Oral and written communication skills<\/li>\n<li>Fluency in English and a local language<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrated experience advocating for environmental justice<\/li>\n<li>Motivated, pro-active individual able to work under minimal supervision<\/li>\n<li>Ability to prioritise, act on initiative and meet deadlines<\/li>\n<li>Ability to think critically and problem solve<\/li>\n<li>Reliability and attention to detail<\/li>\n<li>Ability to travel frequently<\/li>\n<li>Ability to work with teams and to develop and maintain good relationships with community-based or other grassroots groups and partners<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrated awareness of and sensitivity to the needs and concerns of individuals from diverse cultures, backgrounds and
