{"id":44612,"date":"2019-02-06T11:10:05","date_gmt":"2019-02-06T09:10:05","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/joblistsouthafrica.com\/?p=44612"},"modified":"2019-02-05T15:27:18","modified_gmt":"2019-02-05T13:27:18","slug":"the-pinotage-youth-development-academy-pyda-latest-recruitment","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/joblistsouthafrica.com\/the-pinotage-youth-development-academy-pyda-latest-recruitment.html","title":{"rendered":"The Pinotage Youth Development Academy (PYDA) Latest Recruitment"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Pinotage Youth Development Academy (PYDA) develops young talent for employment in the wine and fruit industries and related sectors.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title:\u00a0Fundraiser and Public Relations Coordinator<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Job Location:\u00a0<\/strong>\u00a0Stellenbosch<br \/>\n<strong>Report to:<\/strong> The Executive Director<\/p>\n<p>The purpose of the position is\u00a0proposal-based fundraising driven by a fundraising strategy, managing existing relationships and building new ones and managing all aspects of PR including social media.<\/p>\n<p>Responsibilities:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Support the Executive Director and Board members in implementing the current fundraising and PR strategies and developing future sustainability strategies<\/li>\n<li>Reach and exceed an annual fundraising target<\/li>\n<li>Agree on a monthly project plan, submit monthly reports and attend relevant meetings<\/li>\n<li>Undertake comprehensive research routinely for lead generation, to establish potential for funding support and identify best practice<\/li>\n<li>Identify and facilitate strategic, collaborative partnerships resulting in large, long-term funding agreements<\/li>\n<li>Build and maintain major funding relationships, while identifying and establishing new ones<\/li>\n<li>Explore and develop various technology and trend-based fundraising platforms<\/li>\n<li>Drive and manage all PR and communications platforms such as the website, newsletters, media, social media, materials and brand<\/li>\n<li>Identify and attend networking and profile raising opportunities<\/li>\n<li>Manage all related administration, scheduling and tracking<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Requirements:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A formal tertiary qualification in a relevant area of study<\/li>\n<li>Minimum of five years\u2019 relevant experience<\/li>\n<li>Communication ability, both spoken and written<\/li>\n<li>Experience\/track-record in fundraising<\/li>\n<li>Experience in sales and\/or PR and communications<\/li>\n<li>An existing network of business\/personal contacts<\/li>\n<li>Be a natural networker and able to build relationships<\/li>\n<li>A passion for the Academy\u2019s work and values, as well as those of the NPO world<\/li>\n<li>Strong organisational and administrative skills, including research skills<\/li>\n<li>Accuracy and attention to detail<\/li>\n<li>Self-motivation and ability to work independently to agreed deliverables<\/li>\n<li>Ability to work in a fluid and flexible context with a small dedicated team<\/li>\n<li>Personal relationships and an ability to bridge and connect communities<\/li>\n<li>Fluency in English and either IsiXhosa or Afrikaans<\/li>\n<li>South African citizenship<\/li>\n<li>Valid driver\u2019s license and own transport<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>To apply, submit a CV, a motivation letter highlighting your suitability and experience as well as your salary expectations, to\u00a0<a href=\"mailto:applications@pyda.co.za\"><strong>applications@pyda.co.za<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p>All correspondence must be in English.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Application Deadline:\u00a0<\/strong>18th Feb, 2019<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Pinotage Youth Development Academy (PYDA) develops young talent for employment in the wine and fruit industries and related sectors.
