{"id":44770,"date":"2019-02-18T10:08:58","date_gmt":"2019-02-18T08:08:58","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/joblistsouthafrica.com\/?p=44770"},"modified":"2019-02-18T10:08:58","modified_gmt":"2019-02-18T08:08:58","slug":"miet-africa-latest-position-available","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/joblistsouthafrica.com\/miet-africa-latest-position-available.html","title":{"rendered":"MIET Africa Latest Position Available"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>MIET Africa is an NPO working in education development across the Southern African Development Community Region.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title:\u00a0District Coordinator\u00a0<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Job Location:\u00a0<\/strong>\u00a0KwaZulu-Natal<br \/>\n<strong>Report to:<\/strong> The Programme Manager<\/p>\n<p>The salary will be negotiated with the successful applicant.<\/p>\n<p>This is a three-year programme, funded by UNICEF, and implemented in partnership with UNICEF, the DBE and the KZN Department of Education.<\/p>\n<p>The programme works to support the Department of Basic Education\u2019s (DBE)\u00a0National Policy on HIV, STIs and TB, in secondary schools and menstrual hygiene management in feeder primary schools.<\/p>\n<p>The purpose of the position is to implement the programme in the sub-district.<\/p>\n<p>Responsibilities:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Ensure strict adherence to contractual requirements and all MIET AFRICA and Education Department policies, procedures and protocols. This includes abiding by a professional code of conduct and child safeguarding policies<\/li>\n<li>Meet district programme targets<\/li>\n<li>Facilitate all school community advocacy and training within budget and timeframes<\/li>\n<li>Ensure that all relevant project information and documents are recorded, maintained, collected, and submitted for storage on the system<\/li>\n<li>Prepare district project reports for programme manager<\/li>\n<li>Establish and maintain positive working relationships with all stakeholders<\/li>\n<li>Implement sub-district project monitoring strategies in accordance with the Monitoring and Evaluation (Monitoring and Evaluation) Framework, in collaboration with Monitoring and Evaluation personnel and programme manager<\/li>\n<li>Document project experiences, processes, successes, challenges and lessons learnt<\/li>\n<li>Submit monthly timesheets<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Requirements:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Relevant tertiary qualification<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge and experience in the education and\/or development sectors<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of the Integrated School Health Policy and sexual and reproductive health and rights and services<\/li>\n<li>A minimum of five years\u2019 project implementation experience<\/li>\n<li>Leadership and interpersonal skills<\/li>\n<li>Communication skills, both written and verbal<\/li>\n<li>Ability to establish and maintain relationships with project partners and all school community stakeholders<\/li>\n<li>Computer literate (Microsoft Office package)<\/li>\n<li>Valid and unendorsed driver\u2019s licence<\/li>\n<li>Own vehicle required<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>To apply, submit to\u00a0<strong><a href=\"mailto:applications@miet.co.za\">applications@miet.co.za<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>An email, clearly stating \u201cKZN District Coordinator: Strengthening School-based Health and Education Systems\u201d in the subject line<\/li>\n<li>A letter of application, clearly stating the position<\/li>\n<li>Curriculum Vitae (CV)<\/li>\n<li>Copy of ID<\/li>\n<li>Copy of work permit (if non-South African resident)<\/li>\n<li>Copy of valid and unendorsed driver\u2019s licence<\/li>\n<li>Copy of qualifications<\/li>\n<li>Copy of latest payslip<\/li>\n<li>Police clearance certificate or affidavit clearly stating involvement in any criminal activities<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Incomplete applications will not be considered.<\/p>\n<p>MIET Africa reserves the right not to fill the post, or to re-advertise to widen the pool of applicants.<\/p>\n<p>It also reserves the right to do a complete verification of all information supplied.<\/p>\n<p>Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Application Deadline:\u00a0<\/strong>25th Feb, 2019<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>MIET Africa is an NPO working in education development across the Southern African Development Community Region.
