contribute to the realization of the core governing principles enshrined in the preamble of the South African Constitution.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title:<\/strong>\u00a0<strong>Communications Assistant<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Job Location: <\/strong>Johannesburg<br \/>\n<strong>Salary:<\/strong> R10 000 monthly<br \/>\n<strong>Start date:<\/strong>\u00a0March 2019, or as soon as possible<br \/>\n<strong>Duration:\u00a0<\/strong>Ten month fixed term contract<\/p>\n<p>Responsibilities:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Assist the project team to build communications content and provide on-the-ground communications support<\/li>\n<li>Provide logistics support to Academy events and where relevant or with prior agreement, to other DWF events<\/li>\n<li>Contribute articles on a regular basis for the DWA project and other projects as and when required<\/li>\n<li>Contribute to website content by providing text, photographs, and audio-visual material<\/li>\n<li>Manage and grow DWF\u2019s social media presence, regularly creating and publishing engaging content to ensure the project reaches a wider audience<\/li>\n<li>Undertake specific and general job-related tasks as may be delegated from time to time which may not appear in this job description<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Requirements:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Degree graduate in Communication Studies or related field<\/li>\n<li>Analytical mind (a critical sense when analysing reports, articles, etc)<\/li>\n<li>Computer savvy (social media and Microsoft Office)<\/li>\n<li>Ability to conduct basic research<\/li>\n<li>Basic animation skills (will be an added advantage)<\/li>\n<li>Previous experience in a related environment (will be an added advantage)<\/li>\n<li>Proven written and verbal skills in English (additional African language is advantageous)<\/li>\n<li>Accountable and responsible team player<\/li>\n<li>Ability to pay attention to detail and be diligent<\/li>\n<li>An innovative individual who easily adapts<\/li>\n<li>Experience in event coordination<\/li>\n<li>Creative and passionate<\/li>\n<li>Celebrates opportunities to interact with people from very diverse cultural and social economic backgrounds<\/li>\n<li>Writing skills<\/li>\n<li>Embraces a culture of leadership, international cooperation and excellence<\/li>\n<li>Open-minded and willing to share expertise and experiences, and to learn from others<\/li>\n<li>Loves to take on challenges and not afraid to work hard<\/li>\n<li>Self-motivated, team player who pays close attention to detail and who has the ability to prioritise in a fast-moving environment<\/li>\n<li>Communication and interpersonal skills, particularly the ability to interact effectively with a wide range of different people in a variety of situations<\/li>\n<li>Preferred candidate must be a South African citizen or permanent resident<\/li>\n<li>A driver\u2019s license valid for South Africa is an added
