with children and youth at key points in their education, including pre-school, primary, high school, post matric and tertiary.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title: Lead Fundraiser and Communications coordinator <\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Location:<\/strong> Mowbray, Cape Town.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Responsibilities:\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Fundraising<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Grant and proposal writing<\/li>\n<li>Participate in sustainability and strategy development<\/li>\n<li>Oversight and strengthening of individual giving programme<\/li>\n<li>Oversight and implementation of institutional fundraising<\/li>\n<li>Stewardship of donors<\/li>\n<li>Prospect research (local and international, especially US-based)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Communications and media<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Report-writing in collaboration with programmes<\/li>\n<li>Oversight of S18A and thank-you letters<\/li>\n<li>Handle all website, social media and online presence<\/li>\n<li>Prepare Annual report, publication and distribution<\/li>\n<li>Develop all branding and marketing strategy, and materials<\/li>\n<li>Plan, implement and coordinate marketing activities and events<\/li>\n<li>Fundraising department reports to the Board<\/li>\n<li>Develop and implement media strategy and release (radio, print, etc)<\/li>\n<li>Write appropriate stories for proposals, and public release<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>General Admin<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Fundraising planning calendar<\/li>\n<li>Records keeping<\/li>\n<li>Ensure that proposals, as well as reports are submitted per deadlines<\/li>\n<li>Coordination of team activities and plans<\/li>\n<li>Ensure that donor and fundraising related transactions and accounts are logged on Salesforce<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Requirements:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Tertiary qualification relevant to the requirements of the post<\/li>\n<li>Minimum five to eight years in fundraising experience or similar capacity<\/li>\n<li>Sound proposal and report-writing skills<\/li>\n<li>Can drive with valid SA driver\u2019s licence<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of the NGO sector and particularly in the area of education<\/li>\n<li>Good with numbers, and an understanding of budget and financials<\/li>\n<li>Proficient report writing skills in English language<\/li>\n<li>Effective story-teller<\/li>\n<li>Great networker<\/li>\n<li>Solid English communication skills (in isiXhosa is a great plus)<\/li>\n<li>Proficient computer skills in Microsoft applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint<\/li>\n<li>Salesforce (is a great advantage)<\/li>\n<li>Understanding of website design and back-end<\/li>\n<li>Medium to advance knowledge in the use of media apps such as Mailchimp, various Google apps, and other similar platforms<\/li>\n<li>Canva, inDesign, Photoshop or similar tools<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge in online donate\/giving platforms such as \u2013 Give-and-Gain, Snapscan<\/li>\n<li>Social media savvy for use in marketing strategy including \u2013 Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Buffer, HootSuite, etc.<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge on WordPress, photography a plus<\/li>\n<li>People skills, relationship builder, positive and pleasant attitude<\/li>\n<li>Energetic and a team-player<\/li>\n<li>Ability to work under pressure, disciplined with effective time management skills Strong work ethic, integrity and honesty, creative and pays attention to detail<\/li>\n<li>Interpersonal skills, communication and negotiation skills, collaborator, resilient, and can handle work pressure<\/li>\n<li>Have visits to our beneficiaries in Philippi, as well as to various event venues, and tertiary campuses as may be required<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>To apply:
