The main mission of BEN is to address poverty and mobility through the promotion of the bicycle in all its forms.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title:\u00a0 Fundraiser<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Location:<\/strong> Cape Town.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Salary:<\/strong> Negotiable<\/p>\n<p><strong>Start date:<\/strong> As soon as possible<\/p>\n<p>This is a part-time position<\/p>\n<p><strong>Responsibilities:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Research funders<\/li>\n<li>Write proposals<\/li>\n<li>Maintain funder relationships<\/li>\n<li>Launch Ben\u2019s \u201cBENefactor\u201d, an individual giving campaign<\/li>\n<li>Work with funder tracking documents and databases to ensure deadlines are not missed<\/li>\n<li>Network appropriate networks for knowledge sharing and door opening<\/li>\n<li>Seek and obtain donations and funds for BEN which will enable BEN to achieve its objectives<\/li>\n<li>Promote and sell BEN and its objectives to existing and new funders<\/li>\n<li>Research potential new funders, prepare proposals, meet funders and follow up funders on an on-going basis<\/li>\n<li>Devise new funding strategies<\/li>\n<li>Evaluate and monitor projects<\/li>\n<li>Write reports on the projects that BEN is involved in<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>\u00a0Requirements:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Be self &#8211; motivated in finding new leads and able to accurately match needs and opportunities for funding<\/li>\n<li>Be a team player, working alongside all staff in monitoring of existing funds and assessing funding requirements<\/li>\n<li>Be creative in doing new events and campaigns that can attract funding<\/li>\n<li>Be organised and able to multi task<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of (Excel and Word)<\/li>\n<li>Competency with writing and understanding budgets<\/li>\n<li>Be familiar with social media tools<\/li>\n<li>Ability to compile an electronic newsletter<\/li>\n<li>Interpersonal skills<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>To apply<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Submit your CV to\u00a0<strong><a href=\"mailto:sue@benbikes.org.za\">sue@benbikes.org.za<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Application Deadline:<\/strong>\u00a0Sunday, 31 March, 2019<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Bicycling Empowerment Network (BEN) is a nonprofit organisation.
