CSVR aims to understand and prevent violence, heal its effects and build sustainable peace at community, national and regional levels. We do this through collaboration with and learning from the lived and diverse experiences of communities affected by violence and conflict to inform innovative interventions, generate knowledge, shape public discourse, influence policy, hold states accountable and promote gender equality, social cohesion and active citizenship.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title: Finance Manager<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Job Location:<\/strong>\u00a0Johannesburg<\/p>\n<p>The Finance Manager will be responsilble for managing all aspects of the organization\u2019s finances including inter alia and managing staff in the finance department.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Key responsibilities of this position include:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Liaising with management on a regular basis to provide advice related to all financial aspects of the organisation<\/li>\n<li>Ensuring that monthly management accounts are produced regularly<\/li>\n<li>Presenting results to management with meaningful explanations of material budget variances both organisational and project related<\/li>\n<li>Bringing to the attention of management material liabilities including contingent liabilities<\/li>\n<li>Distributing project accounts to project managers and obtain explanations for any material deviations from budget or spending rates<\/li>\n<li>Maintaining regular monthly finance meetings with management to review the organisational and project financial status<\/li>\n<li>Maintaining regular finance department work plans and the production of monthly management accounts<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>The\u00a0Finance Manager must have and be able to demonstrate the following:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Bachelor degree in accounting<\/li>\n<li>At least five years\u2019 experience working in a financial management position in NGO\u2019s<\/li>\n<li>Strong inter-personal skills to liaise with senior management, funders, auditors etc<\/li>\n<li>Strong communication and presentation skills, both oral and written<\/li>\n<li>Above average experience and knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Pastel Evolution<\/li>\n<li>A strong sense of responsibility and urgency and the ability to deliver regularly on time<\/li>\n<li>Experience with accounting for foreign currencies<\/li>\n<li>Strong human resource management skills<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>To Apply<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The position will entail a full-time one year contract.
