Since then it has developed several successful community-based psycho-social interventions to assist the most marginalised, including survivors of sexual and gender based violence and youth at risk.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title: Senior Social Worker<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Job Location:<\/strong> Cape Town.<br \/>\n<strong>Start date:\u00a0<\/strong>1<sup>st<\/sup>\u00a0May or sooner if possible<br \/>\n<strong>Report to:<\/strong> The Director<br \/>\n<strong>Responsibilities:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Provide all levels of Social Work Services to vulnerable refugees and asylum seekers<\/li>\n<li>Oversee and effectively manage the social services programme and team of social workers at Adonis Musati Project<\/li>\n<li>Technical and administrative supervision of Programme implementation, including budget reporting, monitoring and evaluation<\/li>\n<li>Regular\u00a0report writing\u00a0for donors and funders and submission within timeframe<\/li>\n<li>Oversee administration, case work and service provision to client group<\/li>\n<li>In coordination and consultation with the other programme managers, develop and implement community interventions, advocacy and trainings<\/li>\n<li>Present reports at relevant panels<\/li>\n<li>Coordinate and maintain networking relationships with various organisations in the Western Cape<\/li>\n<li>In conjunction with other relevant stakeholders including designated child protection organisations, initiate, refer, write reports and follow up on cases of refugee \/ asylum seeker children in need of protection and care, work in conjunction with other AMP social workers and counsellors to ensure the safety and protection of unaccompanied and\/ or separated children and those most at risk.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Requirements:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Current registration with\u00a0SACSSP<\/li>\n<li>Minimum eight years\u2019 social work experience in South Africa<\/li>\n<li>Management and organisational skills -minimum of three years working in a management position<\/li>\n<li>Ability to write reports, project plans,\u00a0business plans, and business correspondence<\/li>\n<li>Networking and communications skills<\/li>\n<li>Fluency in written and spoken English, a second language would be advantageous<\/li>\n<li>Valid code B driver\u2019s licence and vehicle<\/li>\n<li>Experience conducting training<\/li>\n<li>Familiarity with issues surrounding refugees and asylum seekers or other marginalised populations would be highly advantageous<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>To apply<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Submit a CV and motivation letter clearly stating why you are suitable for the role to\u00a0<a href=\"mailto:gahlia@adonismusatiproject.org\">gahlia@adonismusatiproject.org<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Application Deadline:\u00a0<\/strong>Monday, 25 March, 2019<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Adonis Musati Project (AMP) was formed in 2007 to assist the vulnerable asylum seeker and refugee populations in Cape Town.
