{"id":45874,"date":"2019-04-05T16:34:13","date_gmt":"2019-04-05T14:34:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/joblistsouthafrica.com\/?p=45874"},"modified":"2019-04-05T16:34:13","modified_gmt":"2019-04-05T14:34:13","slug":"st-lukes-hospice-recent-job-opportunity-apply-here","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/joblistsouthafrica.com\/st-lukes-hospice-recent-job-opportunity-apply-here.html","title":{"rendered":"St Luke\u2019s Hospice Recent Job Opportunity &#8211; Apply Here!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>St Luke\u2019s Hospice is committed to caring for patients with life threatening illnesses, supporting their families and cares for people of all religions.<\/p>\n<p><b>Job Title:\u00a0<\/b><strong>Sisters \/ Registered Nurses<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Job Location: <\/strong>South Africa.<\/p>\n<p>The purpose of the position is to\u00a0provide Palliative care and support to community referred patients with life-threatening illness.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Responsibilities:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Attend to- and provide care of the patients of SLCH within the guidelines of nursing act and the philosophy of the organisation<\/li>\n<li>Assess, monitor and advise patients on pain and symptom control in accordance with the patient\u2019s medical advisory team<\/li>\n<li>Develop and implement the nursing plan in accordance with the patient\u2019s medical advisory team<\/li>\n<li>Provide relevant support to the family of the patients<\/li>\n<li>Refer patients to other specialised services within the organisation if and when so required<\/li>\n<li>Maintain all patient data in accordance with the requirements of the law, instructions from the medical team and within the guidelines of SLCH<\/li>\n<li>Perform other duties, as and when so requested, in support of team goals<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Requirements:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Diploma in General Nursing or Degree in Nursing Science (General, Psychiatry, Community and Midwifery)<\/li>\n<li>A minimum of three years related experience<\/li>\n<li>Diploma or Certification in Palliative Care (added advantage)<\/li>\n<li>Microsoft Office Suite literacy (Outlook, Word and Excel)<\/li>\n<li>Unendorsed driver\u2019s licence<\/li>\n<li>Fluency in at least two official languages and an understanding of palliative care and its role in society (added advantage)<\/li>\n<li>Resilience and stress management<\/li>\n<li>Interpersonal sensitivity<\/li>\n<li>Team leadership<\/li>\n<li>Problem solving<\/li>\n<li>Judgement and decision making<\/li>\n<li>Monitoring<\/li>\n<li>Team work<\/li>\n<li>Engaging diversity<\/li>\n<li>Verbal and written communication<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>\u00a0To apply<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Submit your applications to Chandre Williams at\u00a0<strong><a href=\"mailto:vacancies@stlukes.co.za\">vacancies@stlukes.co.za<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Application Deadline:\u00a0<\/strong>Tuesday, 9 April, 2019<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>St Luke\u2019s Hospice is committed to caring for patients with life threatening illnesses, supporting their families and cares for people of all religions.
