Thembalitsha Foundation\u00a0seeks to appoint a\u00a0Financial Director to be based in \u00a0Somerset West, Western Cape.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title:\u00a0Financial Director<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Location:\u00a0<\/strong>to be based in \u00a0Somerset West, Western Cape.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Report to:<\/strong> Managing Director<\/p>\n<p>This is a part-time position, 10 to 15 hours a week.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Responsibilities:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Ensure compliance with all statutory requirements relating to financial control, financial management and accounting<\/li>\n<li>Review and finalise financial records for each project in a manner that facilitates management reports<\/li>\n<li>Resolution of day to day finance\/accounting queries (internal and external)<\/li>\n<li>Develop and manage financial systems\/models which will enable proper monthly and quarterly reports including infrastructure projects reports<\/li>\n<li>Ensure effective financial and risk management and proactively managing internal controls.<\/li>\n<li>Produce required financial reports for Executive management, and quarterly reports as required by the Board of Directors<\/li>\n<li>Prepare financial statements and ensuring compliance with all relevant statutory requirements, regulations and standards<\/li>\n<li>Oversee and supervise the finance department<\/li>\n<li>Liaise with external auditors (partner)<\/li>\n<li>Manage the budget process while contributing to effective strategic and business planning systems and ensuring timely management reporting<\/li>\n<li>Review prepared budgets for funding applications before it is send out<\/li>\n<li>Oversee all accounts, ledgers, and reporting systems and ensure compliance with appropriate accounting standards, regulatory and audit requirements<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>\u00a0Requirements:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>CA (SA) Minimum of five years post articles experience<\/li>\n<li>Minimum of three years\u2019 experience in managing a team of people in a finance department<\/li>\n<li>Computer literacy in Microsoft Office with Excel advance<\/li>\n<li>Experience in the non-profit industry advantageous<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>English and Afrikaans communication skills (verbal and written)<\/li>\n<li>Strong leadership and people management skills<\/li>\n<li>Strong analytical skills<\/li>\n<li>Ability to work under pressure<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>To apply<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Submit CV, qualifications and contactable references or queries with salary expectations to\u00a0<strong><a href=\"mailto:hr@hope.org.za\">hr@hope.org.za<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Thembalitsha Foundation registered nonprofit organisation that assists with the development and growth in lives of those in need giving them hope.
