Its aim is to empower communities to develop new generations of productive citizens.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title: Facilitator: Child and Youth Care Worker \/ Social Auxiliary<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Location:\u00a0<\/strong>Braamfontein, Johannesburg<\/p>\n<p>The purpose of the position is to ensure the efficient facilitation of all aspects of training Child and Youth Care Learners and Social Auxiliary learners on the HWSETA Learnerships.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Responsibilities:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Subject matter expert for Career Development (Social Auxiliary Work and Child and Care Work Programmes) in Afrika Tikkun<\/li>\n<li>Programme Mapping, facilitation, assessment and monitoring programme delivery<\/li>\n<li>Administration and control \u2013 providing projections, work plan and monthly reports and submits to Management<\/li>\n<li>Manage the training records of the learners both classroom and the placement areas<\/li>\n<li>Ensure that the two training learnership programmes (Social Auxiliary Work and Child and Youth Care Learnerships) in centre are running effectively<\/li>\n<li>Monitor and evaluate training programme by conduct site visits where the students are placed to check on their progress and offer assistance<\/li>\n<li>Liaise with the various service providers and update them on learner progress<\/li>\n<li>Maintain an understanding of training trends, developments and best practices<\/li>\n<li>Ensure the delivery of programmes against the operational plan and strategy for the centre<\/li>\n<li>Prepare monthly quantitative and qualitative reports on the progress of the programme<\/li>\n<li>Ensure good communication and with other staff members<\/li>\n<li>Other duties as may arise from time to time in the performance of the job<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Requirements:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A relevant tertiary qualification preferably in Social Work<\/li>\n<li>Qualified as a Child and Youth Care worker (NQF level 4\/5)<\/li>\n<li>Qualified as an assessor<\/li>\n<li>A minimum of three years\u2019 experience in a training centre or similar. Experience in program development and delivery<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of the NQF and SETA\u2019s<\/li>\n<li>A teaching background as well as experience in youth skills development and placement would be an advantage<\/li>\n<li>Must be proficient in English and another SA ethnic language<\/li>\n<li>Numeracy and communication skills (verbal, written, facilitation, interpersonal, stakeholder)<\/li>\n<li>Project planning, coordination, implementation and monitoring skills<\/li>\n<li>Organisational skills, an ability to plan and follow procedures<\/li>\n<li>Report writing, data capturing, and data analysis<\/li>\n<li>Ability to use data to influence decision making<\/li>\n<li>Systems development and integration<\/li>\n<li>Budget development, allocation and management<\/li>\n<li>Team member management &#8211; working cooperatively with team members or independently and be accountable<\/li>\n<li>Ability to take initiative and develop resolutions to challenges<\/li>\n<li>Competency\/ability to use Microsoft Office Suite and databases<\/li>\n<li>Interest and experience in youth skills development and placement<\/li>\n<li>Comprehending communication from others.<\/li>\n<li>Effective verbal and written communication ability<\/li>\n<li>Initiative &#8211; Making active attempts to influence events to achieve goals.<\/li>\n<li>Flexibility &#8211; Ability to adapt to changing circumstances where required<\/li>\n<li>Attention to detail &#8211; Ensuring that work is completed with great care and that every detail is taken care of timeously<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>To apply<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Submit your CV to Simphiwe Nzima at<strong><a href=\"mailto:simphiwen@afrikatikkun.org\">simphiwen@afrikatikkun.org<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0or alternatively fax application details to\u00a0086\u00a0668 0542<\/p>\n<p><strong>Application Deadline:\u00a0<\/strong>Friday, 19 April, 2019<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Afrika Tikkun is an international nonprofit organisation\u00a0that provides education, health and social services to children, youth and their families through centres of excellence in South African Townships.
