The Organisation updates and improves on their skills and techniques and we continuously investigate new technologies. The organisation visits schools around the country teaching children about water safety, what to do in an emergency and how to do basic hands-on CPR.<\/p>\n<p>Sea Rescue has built an online training centre for our crew and extended this platform to include free courses for the public as well.\u00a0 other preventative measures include emergency signage, Pink Rescue Buoys for flotation, Lifeguards and active patrols during peak season.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title:\u00a0Executive Director<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Job Location:\u00a0<\/strong>Cape Town.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Salary:\u00a0<\/strong>R935 983 (includes 13th Cheque) per annum excluding Pension, Medical Aid, Vehicle<\/p>\n<p><strong>Responsibilities:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The Strategic and Executive Leadership of Fundraising and Marketing within the National Sea Rescue Institute of South Africa<\/li>\n<li>Efficient and effective fundraising and marketing which supports the sustainability of the organisation<\/li>\n<li>Strategic positioning and management of the Brand and Reputation of Sea Rescue<\/li>\n<li>Policy leadership in respect of public and organizational communication including the Social Media interface<\/li>\n<li>Fulfilling the Generic Components of Management in Fundraising and Marketing<\/li>\n<li>Planning<\/li>\n<li>Organising<\/li>\n<li>Budgeting<\/li>\n<li>Controlling\/Facilitating<\/li>\n<li>Monitoring\/Information Management<\/li>\n<li>Communicating\/Motivating<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Requirements<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A relevant bachelor\u2019s degree<\/li>\n<li>Minimum five years relevant work experience in a related field with contactable executive references<\/li>\n<li>Evidence of Substantial Fundraising Capacity<\/li>\n<li>Portfolio of Marketing\/Brand Management Achievements\/Projects<\/li>\n<li>Communication in multiple languages English, Afrikaans and IsiXhosa\/IsiZulu<\/li>\n<li>Good judgement<\/li>\n<li>Change management<\/li>\n<li>Leadership<\/li>\n<li>Management<\/li>\n<li>Strategic Thinking<\/li>\n<li>Financial literacy<\/li>\n<li>Data Analysis and Reporting<\/li>\n<li>Familiarity with Enterprise Customer Relationship Management Systems (MS DYNAMIX)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>To apply<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Submit\u00a0letter of application stating the skills and approach that you would bring to the post with your CV\/resume (no photos) in strict confidence by email only to: (see response email below).
