{"id":46053,"date":"2019-04-12T10:10:07","date_gmt":"2019-04-12T08:10:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/joblistsouthafrica.com\/?p=46053"},"modified":"2019-04-11T20:26:54","modified_gmt":"2019-04-11T18:26:54","slug":"thembalitsha-foundation-current-employment-opportunity","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/joblistsouthafrica.com\/thembalitsha-foundation-current-employment-opportunity.html","title":{"rendered":"Thembalitsha Foundation Current Employment Opportunity"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Thembalitsha Foundation registered nonprofit organisation that assists with the development and growth in lives of those in need giving them hope.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title:\u00a0Bookkeeper<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Job Location:<\/strong>\u00a0Western Cape.<br \/>\n<strong>Report to:<\/strong> Senior Accountant<br \/>\n<strong>Working Hours:<\/strong> 8h00 to 12h30<br \/>\n<strong>Salary:<\/strong> R72,000 Per Annum<br \/>\n<strong>Duration:<\/strong> Two-month contract<\/p>\n<p><strong>Responsibilities:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Maintain all accounts, ledgers, and reporting systems and ensure compliance with appropriate accounting standards<\/li>\n<li>Conduct periodic reconciliations of all accounts to ensure their accuracy<\/li>\n<li>Conduct a monthly reconciliation<\/li>\n<li>Provide clerical and administrative support to various projects<\/li>\n<li>Record day to day financial transactions and complete the posting process<\/li>\n<li>Ensure that all relevant supporting documentation are in place for each transaction<\/li>\n<li>Verify that transactions are recorded in the correct accounts, suppliers\u2019 ledger, customer ledger and general ledger<\/li>\n<li>Bring the books to the trial balance\u00a0stage<\/li>\n<li>Perform checks of the posting process<\/li>\n<li>VAT calculation and completion of VAT return<\/li>\n<li>Enter data, maintain records and generate reports<\/li>\n<li>Process accounts receivable and payable<\/li>\n<li>Load bank payments<\/li>\n<li>Filling<\/li>\n<li>Assist in yearly audit<\/li>\n<li>Assist in Resolving day to day finance\/accounting queries (internal and external)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Requirements:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Proficient in SAP\/Pastel<\/li>\n<li>Relevant bookkeeping\/accounting qualification<\/li>\n<li>Minimum of three years\u2019 experience within a bookkeeping role<\/li>\n<li>Computer literacy in Microsoft Office with Excel<\/li>\n<li>Experience in the nonprofit industry advantageous<\/li>\n<li>English and Afrikaans communication skills (verbal and written)<\/li>\n<li>Strong leadership and people management skills<\/li>\n<li>Strong analytical skills<\/li>\n<li>Ability to work under pressure<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>To apply<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Submit CV, qualifications and contactable references or queries with salary expectations to<strong>\u00a0<a href=\"mailto:hr@hope.org.za\">hr@hope.org.za<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Application Deadline:\u00a0<\/strong>Tuesday, 30 April, 2019<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Thembalitsha Foundation registered nonprofit organisation that assists with the development and growth in lives of those in need giving them hope.
