{"id":46376,"date":"2019-04-30T11:39:44","date_gmt":"2019-04-30T09:39:44","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/joblistsouthafrica.com\/?p=46376"},"modified":"2019-04-30T11:39:44","modified_gmt":"2019-04-30T09:39:44","slug":"the-observatory-improvement-district-obsid-recent-job-opening","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/joblistsouthafrica.com\/the-observatory-improvement-district-obsid-recent-job-opening.html","title":{"rendered":"The\u00a0Observatory Improvement District (OBSID) Recent Job Opening"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The\u00a0Observatory Improvement District (OBSID)\u00a0is an established Special Rating Area (SRA) and provides top up services as a provider to the City of Cape Town.\u00a0 These services include public safety, urban management and social development with an additional focus on arts and heritage projects.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title: Programme Manager<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Location: <\/strong>Cape Town.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Report to:<\/strong> The CEO<\/p>\n<p><strong>Responsibilities:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Manage and delivery of various programmes in line with implementation plans e.g. cleaning, urban management, public safety, business development<\/li>\n<li>Manage outsourced providers in terms of the various contracts and SLA\u2019s in place<\/li>\n<li>Staff management including performance reviews corrective action, identification of training needs etc<\/li>\n<li>Full programme reporting (monthly reports, implementation plan progress, service provider assessments)<\/li>\n<li>Plan and delivery of special projects for different programmes in conjunction with CEO (including public spaces, arts \/ sports \/ heritage and culture)<\/li>\n<li>Asset management and maintenance<\/li>\n<li>Budget management<\/li>\n<li>Community and stakeholder liaison<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Requirements:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A minimum of five to seven years\u2019 relevant work experience, prior experience in urban management, law enforcement, SAPS, other City structures very advantageous<\/li>\n<li>A valid driver\u2019s licence and own vehicle<\/li>\n<li>Interpersonal skills, a network of relevant contacts and the ability to interact effectively with different stakeholder groups in both formal and informal settings<\/li>\n<li>Computer literacy (Microsoft Office suite)<\/li>\n<li>People management skills, with experience in managing small teams<\/li>\n<li>An interest in community issues and in understanding how the OBSID can deepen and improve its services within its mandate,\u00a0as well as an interest in Observatory as a suburb<\/li>\n<li>Communication skills, both verbal and written and strong reporting skills<\/li>\n<li>Planning skills and the ability to adjust plans to deliver against objectives as circumstances dictate<\/li>\n<li>Sound finance management skills<\/li>\n<li>Physically suited to working outside for extended periods of time<\/li>\n<li>Ability to work unusual hours, over weekends as necessary<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>To apply<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Submit your CV and a short letter of application to <strong><a href=\"mailto:amanda@obsid.org.za\">amanda@obsid.org.za<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Application Deadline:\u00a0<\/strong>Friday, 3 May, 2019<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The\u00a0Observatory Improvement District (OBSID)\u00a0is an established Special Rating Area (SRA) and provides top up services as a provider to the City of Cape Town.\u00a0 These services include public safety, urban&#8230;..<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":1353,"featured_media":0,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"om_disable_all_campaigns":false,"jetpack_post_was_ever_published":false,"_jetpack_newsletter_access":"","_jetpack_newsletter_tier_id":0,"footnotes":"","jetpack_publicize_message":"","jetpack_is_tweetstorm":false,"jetpack_publicize_feature_enabled":true,"jetpack_social_post_already_shared":true,"jetpack_social_options":{"image_generator_settings":{"template":"highway","enabled":false}}},"categories":[1],"tags":[],"jetpack_publicize_connections":[],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v21.5 -
