{"id":46379,"date":"2019-04-30T12:51:57","date_gmt":"2019-04-30T10:51:57","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/joblistsouthafrica.com\/?p=46379"},"modified":"2019-04-30T12:51:57","modified_gmt":"2019-04-30T10:51:57","slug":"the-observatory-improvement-district-obsid-job-opportunity","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/joblistsouthafrica.com\/the-observatory-improvement-district-obsid-job-opportunity.html","title":{"rendered":"The\u00a0Observatory Improvement District (OBSID)\u00a0Job Opportunity"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The\u00a0Observatory Improvement District (OBSID)\u00a0is an established Special Rating Area (SRA) and provides top up services as a provider to the City of Cape Town.\u00a0 These services include public safety, urban management and social development with an additional focus on arts and heritage projects.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title: Office Coordinator <\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Location: <\/strong>Cape Town.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Responsibilities:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Frontline reception (telephonic and walk in enquiries)<\/li>\n<li>Community liaison contact point for all enquiries, referrals to managers for solution, tracking responses and closing out queries<\/li>\n<li>Provide administrative support to the CEO and management team<\/li>\n<li>Consumables ordering for office and programmes<\/li>\n<li>Deliver the annual AGM in conjunction with the CEO<\/li>\n<li>Maintain the OBSID annual calendar, managing reminders and updates<\/li>\n<li>Complete OBSID membership and Director administration in conjunction with CEO and Company Secretary<\/li>\n<li>Control petty cash systems and reporting<\/li>\n<li>Communications support\u00a0&#8211; special projects, social media, website content<\/li>\n<li>Maintain the OBSID business directory<\/li>\n<li>Maintain health and safety programme for OBSID<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Requirements:\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Minimum of three to five years\u2019 relevant work experience in an administrative or frontline role, backed up by a relevant qualification<\/li>\n<li>A valid driver\u2019s licence and own vehicle would be advantageous<\/li>\n<li>High levels of computer literacy (Microsoft Office suite)<\/li>\n<li>An interest in community issues and in understanding how the OBSID can deepen and improve its services within its mandate,\u00a0as well as an interest in Observatory as a suburb<\/li>\n<li>To be systematic and thorough in approach and able to see activities and tasks through to completion<\/li>\n<li>Communication skills, both verbal and written<\/li>\n<li>Sound finance management skills<\/li>\n<li>Ability to work independently as well as part of a team<\/li>\n<li>To be open minded and willing to learn<\/li>\n<li>Some flexibility as regards availability to work after hours or on weekends as may be needed<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>To apply<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Submit your CV and a short letter of application to <strong><a href=\"mailto:amanda@obsid.org.za\">amanda@obsid.org.za<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Application Deadline:\u00a0<\/strong>Friday, 3 May, 2019<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The\u00a0Observatory Improvement District (OBSID)\u00a0is an established Special Rating Area (SRA) and provides top up services as a provider to the City of Cape Town.\u00a0 These services include public safety, urban&#8230;..<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":1353,"featured_media":0,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"om_disable_all_campaigns":false,"jetpack_post_was_ever_published":false,"_jetpack_newsletter_access":"","_jetpack_newsletter_tier_id":0,"footnotes":"","jetpack_publicize_message":"","jetpack_is_tweetstorm":false,"jetpack_publicize_feature_enabled":true,"jetpack_social_post_already_shared":true,"jetpack_social_options":{"image_generator_settings":{"template":"highway","enabled":false}}},"categories":[19],"tags":[],"jetpack_publicize_connections":[],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v21.5 -
