The Clinton Health Access Initiative, Inc. CHAI approaches some of the most pressing issues in global health with a business-oriented strategy to fundamentally change the underlying economics. CHAI\u2019s solution-oriented approach focuses on improving market dynamics for medicines and diagnostics; lowering prices for diagnosis and treatment; accelerating access to lifesaving technologies; and helping governments build the capacity required for high-quality care and treatment programs. By addressing global market failures and accelerating access to the most effective, high quality health products at affordable and sustainable prices, CHAI helps patients access the care and treatment they need.<\/p>\n

Team Overview:<\/strong><\/p>\n

Over the last several decades, South Africa\u2019s Department of Health (DOH) has made significant progress to achieving the UNAIDS 90-90-90 (90% of all people living with HIV will know their HIV status, 90% of people with diagnosed HIV infection will receive sustained ART and 90% of all people receiving ART are virally suppressed) for the paediatric and adolescent populations. However, gaps still exist. Due to South Africa\u2019s high disease burden, South Africa falls short and does not meet the 90-90-90 targets. To address these challenges, CHAI South Africa\u2019s (CHAI SA) team is supporting the DOH, at national and provincial levels to implement a broad range of activities across the 90-90-90 matrix, including assessing and costing proven and\/or new innovative intervention strategies focused on identification, establishing strong linkage systems, improving paediatric retention\/viral suppression and building an investment case for scale and sustainability. This work will be done through the provision of technical assistance to support the development and deployment of strategic interventions and operational plans, resource optimization in the short and long term and galvanizing key stakeholder coordination.<\/p>\n

Position Overview:<\/strong><\/p>\n

CHAI is seeking a highly motivated individual with proven relationship management skills, excellent analytical ability and strong communication skills to play a key role in the Paediatric HIV program in South Africa. The Associate will input to a growing CHAI team and will be expected to support the DoH create and execute evidence-based plans and strategies. The Associate will be responsible for a wide variety of tasks, from quantitative analysis to collaborating with stakeholders and will be expected to lead areas of engagement relating to either costed investment cases, improvements in supply chain, market intelligence, demand forecasting and\/or quantification.<\/p>\n
